Vivo X500 Series Set for September Launch With 4K 240fps Video!

Vivo is gearing up to launch its next flagship lineup, and this time, the company is putting a strong focus on mobile videography. The Vivo X500 series is confirmed to launch in China this September, bringing three models alongside major camera upgrades. Here’s what we know so far about the Vivo X500 series, including its confirmed features, expected specifications, and availability.

Vivo X500 Series Overview

Design and Display

Vivo has not revealed the complete design or display specifications of the X500 series yet. However, the company is expected to maintain the premium flagship styling seen across its recent X-series phones, while introducing some changes to the camera module.

According to recent leaks, Vivo could give the X500 series noticeably different rear designs. The standard X500 is tipped to feature a smaller circular camera module toward the upper-left corner, while the X500 Pro and Pro Max are expected to retain larger, centrally positioned circular camera modules. The Pro models are also rumored to feature more rounded corners than their predecessors.

Display specifications are also yet to be officially announced. Earlier reports suggested that the X500 could feature a 6.59-inch panel, while the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max could come with 6.37-inch and 6.85-inch displays, respectively. Vivo has not confirmed the panel type, resolution, or refresh rate of any model at this point.

Camera and Video

Camera and video capabilities are clearly the main focus of the X500 series. The Pro models will feature a new 50MP Sony-developed sensor called the BluePrint Guangyu 900. The 1/1.28-inch sensor can deliver up to 17EV of dynamic range, allowing the camera to retain more detail across bright and dark areas.

Vivo is also pushing the series further in video recording. The Pro models will support 4K video at 240fps for slow-motion footage, along with 4K 120fps HDR video. The main camera will also feature up to 3° of optical image stabilization, which Vivo says can provide gimbal-like stabilization.

There are also reports of a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, but Vivo has not confirmed this specification yet, so it is best treated as a rumor for now.

Performance, Battery and Software

Vivo has not revealed the processors, RAM, storage, or software details yet. Previous leaks have suggested MediaTek Dimensity chipsets, Android 17 with OriginOS 7, and batteries exceeding 7,000mAh, but these specifications remain unconfirmed.

Vivo X500 Series Price in Nepal and Availability

Vivo has officially confirmed that the X500 series will launch in China in September 2026, but it has not announced an exact launch date yet. The initial lineup will include the Vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max.

Interestingly, Vivo is skipping the X400 branding and moving directly from the X300 generation to X500. This is likely related to tetraphobia, as the number four is avoided in parts of East Asia because its pronunciation is associated with death.

Vivo has not announced the pricing of any X500-series model yet. International availability, including a possible launch in Nepal, is also yet to be confirmed. We will update this section once Vivo reveals the official pricing and launch markets.
