Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Air Purifier 6 Pro in China, marking a decade of dominance in the country's online air purifier market. The company announced it's shipped over 25 million air purifiers since launching the first model back in December 2014. The new 6 Pro introduces a dual-module, dual-filter architecture designed to tackle formaldehyde in recently renovated homes. This article will discuss everything about the latest Xiaomi Mijia Air Purifier 6 Pro, including its specifications and availability.
Xiaomi Mijia Air Purifier 6 Pro Overview
Dual-Core Architecture and Filtration

The 6 Pro's standout feature is its dual-core purification architecture. The upper module handles multi-effect daily purification for dust, allergens, and PM2.5, while the lower module is optimized for formaldehyde removal.
The 13-layer filtration stack functions as follows. It starts with a pre-filter for dust and hair, followed by antibacterial and antiviral coatings, a nano-grade particulate filter, a formaldehyde decomposition layer using amino-reaction technology, and activated carbon filters for VOCs and odors.

Performance and Coverage
The 6 Pro uses a single motor driving dual fan blades with a tilted volute duct design. The particulate CADR hits 1461 m³/h, and formaldehyde CADR reaches 1000 m³/h. Xiaomi claims the unit can fully exchange the air in a standard room in about 1.5 minutes during lab testing.
For context, those CADR figures put the 6 Pro well above most mid-range purifiers. A formaldehyde CADR of 1000 m³/h is particularly notable—many purifiers struggle with formaldehyde because it's a gas, not a particle, so it requires chemical decomposition rather than just physical filtration.
Sensors and Monitoring
The 6 Pro packs six sensors monitoring PM1, PM2.5, dust particles, formaldehyde, temperature, and humidity. There's a front-facing LCD display showing real-time data, and you can turn off the display light at night if it bothers you. The purifier also runs as low as 32 dB(A) in sleep mode.
Smart Features and Design
The 6 Pro also integrates Xiaomi's own HyperOS and the Mi Home app for remote control, scheduling, and real-time air quality monitoring. There's also voice control via Xiaomi's Xiao Ai assistant. Other than that, its filter lifespan ranges from 8 to 14 months depending on usage and air quality.
