OPPO’s latest foldable phone — the Find N5 — is launching soon in Nepal

OPPO’s new foldable, the OPPO Find N5, made its debut in February of this year. And now, the company is preparing to bring this phone to Nepal as well. This article will include the device specifications and features, along with the expected price in Nepal of the OPPO Find N5.

OPPO Find N5 Overview

Design and display

The Find N5 measures 8.93 mm thick when folded and weighs around 229 grams. That sounds impressive for a foldable, although it’s slightly thicker and heavier than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is just 8.9 mm thick while weighing just 215 grams.

In terms of build, the Find N5 features a sturdy aluminum alloy frame, while OPPO’s “Nanocrystal Glass” protects the cover display.

Adding to its durability, the phone carries an IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 water resistance rating. Meaning it can handle everything from water splashes to full-on immersions and even high-pressure water jets, but not dust particles.

OPPO Find N5 design and display

When it comes to displays, you’re getting a couple of 120Hz LTPO OLED panels here. The one on the front measures 6.62 inches, while the OPPO Find N5 has a massive 8.12-inch main display. The brightness for the inner screen reaches up to 2,100 nits, while the cover display peaks at an even higher 2,450 nits.

Performance, battery, and cameras

Under the hood, the OPPO Find N5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for a flagship-level performance. But interestingly enough, compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite we’ve seen on other flagship devices, the one on the Find N5 has a 7-core CPU setup only. With one less “Phoenix M” core.

Out of the box, it runs on ColorOS 15.0 based on Android 15. As for the battery, it comes with a large 5,600mAh silicon-based battery, which is a lot bigger than the Z Fold 7’s 4,400mAh battery. And it supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

OPPO Find N5 Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor

As for the cameras, the OPPO Find N5 is equipped with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera with autofocus. On the front, both the inner and cover displays house an 8MP selfie camera, ensuring consistent quality whether folded or unfolded.

OPPO Find N5 AI translation

Like many other smartphones, the OPPO Find N5 also has different AI features. Most notably, the AI Translate Assistant, which delivers real-time, face-to-face translation as a dual-screen interpreter.

There is also support for text, photo, and document translation. Moreover, there is the AI Search, which will search through your device to find what you are searching for, whether it is a file or a device setting. You can even capture key points from your phone call with the use of the AI call summary feature.

Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini will be a compact phone with flagship specs

Just a few days back, Xiaomi marked its 14th anniversary. The company’s president shared a video about some of Xiaomi’s most memorable smartphones, and while he did not reveal a lot, he suggested that the upcoming Xiaomi 16 series will come with some significant changes. And it will even include a Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini.

A newcomer, the “Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini”

With this new revelation, the Xiaomi 16 series will now consist of four models: Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, Xiaomi 16 Ultra, and at lastly, the new Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini. And as its name suggests, it might be a compact flagship phone with high-end specs that you would normally expect from the Pro model.

What can we expect?

From recent leaks, it was found that the mini model will house a 6.3-inch OLED panel. Tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the device will have a new design, all thanks to the LIPO technology.

Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini leaks

As for the camera, the main camera will apparently have a large image sensor, which will also be accompanied by a periscope lens. The tipster also mentioned the device will feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, “full waterproof” likely with an IP68/69 rating, and curved edges with a “R angle” design.

You may also like

More importantly, this device will be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. Just like the other entries in the Xiaomi 16 lineup. And for such a compact phone, it will host a pretty large 6,300 mAh battery that supports wireless charging.

To compare, that is slightly larger than the 5,850 mAh battery on the OnePlus 13s (review), but smaller than the 6,500 mAh unit on the Vivo X200 FE (review).

When is Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini launching?

Alongside the rest of the Xiaomi 16 series, the Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini is expected to launch in October in China. Although the “Ultra” model will most likely only arrive in early 2026.

Sony INZONE H9 II launched with WH-1000XM6’s drivers and AI noise reduction

0

Sony just dropped the INZONE H9 II, and they’re taking a different approach – borrowing the 30mm drivers from their premium WH-1000XM6 headphones and slapping them into a gaming headset. This article will discuss everything about the latest Sony INZONE H9 II, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Sony INZONE H9 II Overview

Design

Sony Inzone H9 II Design

Sony went back to the drawing board after the original H9 from 2022. As the H9 II is lighter at 260g without the mic, smaller overall, and they’ve added foldable earcups. The spring-hinge headband is supposed to be more comfortable, and from what we’re hearing, it actually works.

The detachable boom mic now supports super wideband audio with AI-powered noise reduction. This means your teammates might actually understand what you’re saying instead of hearing muffled nonsense. They also launched the INZONE E9 in-ear monitors alongside this, but those are more for the tournament crowd who don’t want anything bulky on their heads.

Audio

fnatic

One thing that caught everyone’s attention was Sony using the same 30mm drivers from their WH-1000XM6 headphones. That’s a $400 pair of premium noise-cancelling headphones, so putting those drivers in a gaming headset is pretty bold. You’re getting active noise cancelling, 360 Spatial Sound, and three EQ profiles specifically tuned for FPS games. It is also co-developed with FNATIC esports team.

Connectivity

All things considered, the connectivity options are pretty solid. You’re getting low-latency wireless via USB-C dongle, LE Audio, and Bluetooth Classic that can handle simultaneous connections. So you can game on PC or PS5 while staying connected to your phone for calls or music.

Battery life is around 30 hours, which isn’t mind-blowing compared to some competitors, but it’s decent enough. The problem, I think, is that Sony’s prioritizing audio quality over marathon battery life, which is probably the right call for most people.

Whats the news in the market?.

So far the reviews have been positive, with Gizmodo noting that “the audio quality is impeccable” and praising how “the low bass hits of rockets and crackle of automatic gunfire are immediately distinct from game to game.” Tom’s Guide highlighted that “the Inzone H9 II is lighter and slimmer, which should make it even more comfortable to wear during extended gaming sessions.”

But makes no sense to ignore the limitations. The EQ options are still pretty basic compared to what some competitors offer, and there’s no full transparency mode. It’s clearly built for FPS gaming first, with other genres being secondary considerations.

Sony INZONE H9 II Specifications

  • Drivers: 30mm
  • Weight: 260g (without mic), 273g (with mic)
  • Battery Life: ~30 hours
  • Connectivity: USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless dongle, Bluetooth 5.0
  • Features: Active Noise Cancelling, 360 Spatial Sound, AI noise reduction
  • Microphone: Detachable super wideband boom mic
  • Audio: 3 EQ profiles for FPS games, LE Audio support
  • Colors: Black or White

Sony INZONE H9 II Price in Nepal and Availability

Sony’s pricing the H9 II at USD 349.99 globally. When this makes it to Nepal, it would probably start at no less than NPR 55,000, considering the usual markups on gaming peripherals here.

Samsung’s first ever smart glasses will launch next year

With Samsung preparing to launch its XR headset dubbed “Project Moohan” later this year, rumors surrounding Samsung’s first smart glasses have started to appear as well. Earlier on, leaks suggested that Samsung is working on two pairs of AI glasses named “Project Haean” and “Project Jinju”.

These smart glasses, which will be competing with the ones from Apple and Meta, are expected to arrive next year.

What will Samsung smart glasses offer?

Samsung’s debut into smart glasses will focus on simplicity and usability. Along with that, this pair of smart glasses is rumored to be similar in design to the Ray-Ban Meta glasses. Like the Meta glasses, it will come with a built-in microphone, speakers, and a camera. There will also be no built-in display as seen in the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses.

Ray-Ban Meta Transparent Wayfarer Limited Edition
Image: Ray-Ban Meta

Software and AI features

And like Samsung’s XR headset, this smart glass will run on the Android XR platform as well. But unlike the smart glass that Google demoed in its I/O keynote back in May this year, the one from Samsung will seemingly be limited in functionality since this is a display-less model.

You may also like

That said, these smart glasses will of course come with an AI assistant, which will allow the user to make calls, send texts, capture content, and control media playback.

Other AI features could be similar to those of Project Moohan. And if that’s the case, then we might be in for some luck, as early reviews stated that the AI experience in it was one of a kind. More details regarding the Galaxy AI for these smart glasses will hit the surface as we approach their release.

When is Samsung smart glass launching?

A report from Korea suggested that Samsung’s smart glass will make its debut in late 2026. The company might be planning to coincide its launch with Apple’s own no-display smart glasses.

AYN Thor teased as dual-screen Android gaming handheld

0

Remember when everyone thought the Nintendo DS was weird with its dual screens? Well, that “weird” design is making a comeback in the Android handheld space. AYN just teased the Thor, a clamshell dual-screen Android gaming device, and honestly, it’s looking like they’re trying to capture some of that DS magic but with modern Android gaming power. This article will discuss everything about the rumored AYN Thor, including leaked specifications and expected pricing.

AYN Thor Rumored Overview

Design

AYN Thor design

Apparently, AYN’s going full clamshell with the Thor. The teaser shows a design that’s pretty similar to the Retroid Pocket Flip 2, which isn’t exactly surprising since that form factor just works. You’re getting dual screens, though the top screen appears smaller than what AYANEO did with their Pocket DS and its 7-inch main display.

The control layout looks familiar – inset sticks in that Xbox-style arrangement we’ve all gotten used to. Stacked triggers like the Flip 2, and they’ve placed the Home and Back buttons right beside the speakers. It’s rather funny that they went with the Thor name when they already have the Odin series going. Norse mythology theme, I guess?

Hardware

One thing that caught our attention was how little AYN actually revealed. The teaser is under 40 seconds, and they’re basically saying “trust us, it’ll be good.” We know it’s running Android and packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, but whether that’s the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 or G3x Gen 2 is anyone’s guess.

Well, basically everything else is up in the air – RAM, storage, battery life, screen resolutions. More often than not, companies tease stuff when they’re still figuring out the final specs, so this might just be AYN testing the waters.

Does this make sense?

From where we’re seeing the market, dual-screen Android handhelds are having a moment. AYANEO dropped the Pocket DS at around $400, and suddenly everyone’s realizing that maybe dual screens aren’t just a gimmick. The problem, I think, is that most Windows clamshell handhelds cost way more, so there’s definitely room for affordable Android alternatives.

All things considered, AYN’s timing isn’t bad. They’ve built a decent reputation with the Odin series, and the handheld gaming market is absolutely exploding right now. Plus, Android emulation has gotten ridiculously good – you can run everything from PSP to some PS2 games pretty smoothly.

Competition and Positioning

But makes no sense to ignore what else is out there. The Retroid Pocket Flip 2 already exists with a similar design, and AYANEO’s Pocket DS is setting the bar for what dual-screen Android gaming can be. AYN needs to either undercut on price or offer something unique to stand out.

They’re also teasing the Odin 3 alongside this, which suggests they’re going for a big product push at the end of 2025. Whatever they’re planning, it better be good because the handheld space is getting crowded fast.

AYN Thor Expected Rumor and Availability

AYN hasn’t dropped any pricing hints yet, but considering the AYANEO Pocket DS costs around $400, the Thor will probably need to come in under that to make sense.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite rumored with Exynos 1380 and S Pen Support

0

You know what’s weird about tablet launches these days? Everyone’s going premium with $1000+ slabs, but sometimes you just need something that works without selling a kidney. Word on the street is Samsung’s cooking up a Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, and it’s basically their way of saying “hey, not everyone needs a flagship tablet.” This article will discuss everything about the rumored Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, including leaked specifications and expected pricing.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite Rumored

Display and Design

Samsung Galaxy S10 Elite

Okay, so from what we’re hearing, Samsung’s going with a 10.9-inch LCD this time. Yeah, not AMOLED like the fancy Tab S11 series they’re rumored to launch alongside this. But here’s the thing – at the leaked €399 price, you’re not exactly expecting miracles. The 2112 × 1320 px resolution sounds decent enough for most stuff, and rumors suggest it’ll support the S Pen right out of the box.

The leaked design follows the same language as other Tab S10 models. You’re supposedly getting those dark antenna lines, single rear camera setup, and a dedicated slot for the S Pen on the back. Colors are rumored to be Gray, Silver, and Pink.

Performance

One thing that caught my attention was Samsung sticking with their own Exynos 1380 chipset. Well, basically this is the same chip they used in some Galaxy A-series phones. It’s not going to set any benchmarks on fire, but for web browsing, media consumption, and light productivity, it should do just fine.

You’re getting either 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 128GB or 256GB storage options. The 8,000 mAh battery is actually pretty generous for this price range. All things considered, it’s rather funny that they went with 25W charging when some rumors suggest it might support 45W. We don’t know if that’s just Samsung being conservative with their specs or what.

Why does this even exist?

From where we’re getting leaks, Samsung’s supposedly launching this alongside the Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra in September. But makes no sense to compare them directly – the Tab S11 is rumored to start at €899 with AMOLED, Dimensity 9400, and 12GB RAM. That’s literally double the expected price.

More often than not, people just want a tablet that can handle Netflix, some light gaming, and maybe note-taking with the S Pen. The Tab S10 Lite seems to fill that gap pretty nicely. The problem, I think, is not everyone needs flagship specs for basic tablet stuff.

Connectivity and Protection

Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and optional 5G is what you are getting in this tab. IP42 protection means it can handle some dust and light water drops. The energy efficiency rating is F, which isn’t great, but that massive 8,000 mAh battery should still get you through the day.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite Specifications

  • Display: 10.9-inch LCD, 2112 × 1320 px (FHD+)
  • Processor: Samsung Exynos 1380
  • RAM: 6GB / 8GB
  • Storage: 128GB / 256GB
  • Rear Camera: 8MP
  • Front Camera: 5MP
  • Battery: 8,000 mAh
  • Charging: 25W (possibly 45W support)
  • OS: Android 15 with On UI 7
  • Colors: Gray, Silver, Pink

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite Rumors and Availability

Samsung hasn’t announced anything official yet, but based on the leaked European prices, if this actually launches and makes it to Nepal, it would probably start at no less than NPR 65,000 for the base Wi-Fi model.

Asus ROG Swift OLED launched with a ridiculous 720Hz display

0

What does it feel like playing on a high refresh rate monitor? The commonly found gaming monitors are usually 144Hz, 165Hz, or best you can find commonly is 240Hz. But imagine 3X of that refresh rate. How insane would that be? Well, ASUS just launched this monitor that pushes way beyond what we thought was possible. This article will discuss everything about the latest ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W, including its rumored specifications and availability.

ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W Overview

Display and Performance

ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W rumors

Okay, so ASUS basically said “hold my drink” to the entire monitor industry. You’re getting a 26.5-inch OLED panel that hits 540Hz natively. And here’s where it gets nuts – it can push 720Hz at 1080p.

The thing is, we’ve seen Koorui and HKC announce 750Hz monitors recently. But here’s the catch – they’re using TN panels. Yeah, those old-school panels that look washed out and have viewing angles worse than your ancient laptop screen. More often than not, they just don’t cut it for serious gaming where colors actually matter.

Why this OLED thing matters?

One thing that caught my attention was the fact that ASUS went with tandem OLED technology. Well, basically this means you’re getting enhanced HDR brightness and improved lifespan. So what about the burn-in issue that scared everyone away from OLED gaming monitors? Well, they’ve got a Neo Proximity Sensor that detects when you’re not there and turns off the screen. Plus, three-year warranty against burn-in.

But makes no sense to compare this directly with Samsung’s Odyssey OLED G6 at $999 with 500Hz. Sure, that’s cheaper, but we’re talking about a 40Hz jump here. And the Samsung uses regular OLED, not this tandem tech that ASUS is pushing.

Design and Connectivity

The design screams “I’m expensive” with that silver and translucent plastic skeletal look. Three-blade stand that probably weighs more than some laptops. All things considered, it’s rather funny that they went full transparent aesthetic when most people will be staring at the screen anyway.

DisplayPort 2.1a with 80Gbps bandwidth on the flagship model. Yeah, I think it makes sense to future-proof this hard when you’re already spending this much. The lower-tier ROG Strix OLED XG27AQWMG gets HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.4 DSC with “only” 280Hz. Only 280Hz – what a world we live in.

ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W Specifications

  • Display: 26.5-inch OLED, 2560 x 1440 QHD
  • Refresh Rate: 540Hz native, 720Hz at 1080p
  • Panel: Tandem OLED with enhanced HDR brightness
  • Response Time: Sub-1ms (estimated)
  • Connectivity: DisplayPort 2.1a (80Gbps), HDMI 2.1
  • G-Sync/FreeSync: Compatible (expected)

ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W Price and Availability

From where we’re getting info, ASUS hasn’t announced official pricing yet. We don’t know if this will hit Nepal anytime soon, but considering Samsung’s 500Hz OLED costs $999, this beast will probably start at no less than NPR 180,000 when it eventually makes it here.

Variant Price in Global (Rumored) Price in Nepal (Expected)
ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W $1,400+ NPR 240,000+

Honor X7c 5G launched in India with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and 35W Charging

0

Back in October 2024, Honor had launched the X7c, but it was a 4G variant, so you might be having a déjà vu about why a phone named exactly X7c with the exact same design is being launched again. Well, it’s the 5G variant, and Honor’s bringing it to India at a pretty competitive price point. This article will discuss everything about the latest Honor X7c 5G, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Honor X7c 5G Overview

What’s new?

Honor X7c 5G Design

The X7c 5G is basically Honor taking their existing 4G design and throwing in a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset to handle 5G connectivity. At the price it comes, they’re positioning this as an affordable entry into 5G territory, which makes sense given how aggressively brands are pushing 5G phones now.

You’re getting a 6.8-inch Full HD+ LCD with 120Hz refresh rate and 850 nits peak brightness. The display should be decent for outdoor use, and 120Hz at this price point is pretty standard now. Honor went with stereo speakers too, which has now become a standard even within budget phones.

Performance and Software

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 handles the heavy lifting here with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. That’s decent memory and storage for a phone at this price, and the chipset should handle everyday tasks without major hiccups. It’s running Android 14 with MagicOS 8.0, which has gotten cleaner over the years.

Honor’s also has provided the features of the bygone era like a 3.5mm headphone jack and dual SIM support, which budget phone buyers actually care about. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner should be more reliable than in-display alternatives at this price.

Camera and Battery

The camera setup is okayish – 50MP primary sensor with a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera sits at 5MP, which is basic but functional enough i guess.

Battery life looks solid with 5,200mAh capacity and 35W fast charging. That should easily get you through a full day, and the charging speed is decent for the segment. Honor also claims SGS 5-star drop resistance and IP64 rating.

Honor X7c 5G Specifications

  • Display: 6.8-inch LCD, Full HD+, 120Hz, 850 nits
  • Processor: Snapdragon 4 Gen 2
  • RAM: 8GB
  • Storage: 256GB
  • Rear Camera: 50MP primary + 2MP depth sensor
  • Front Camera: 5MP
  • Battery: 5,200mAh with 35W charging
  • OS: Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0
  • Connectivity: 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi
  • Durability: SGS 5-star drop resistance, IP64
  • Colors: Moonlight White, Forest Green

Honor X7c 5G Price in Nepal and Availability

The Honor X7c 5G launches in India at INR 14,999 (limited time until August 22) and will be available on Amazon starting August 20. When it makes to Nepal, it would start at no less than NPR 21,000, making it a solid budget 5G option.

Realme Note 70 launched in Philippines with 6,300mAh Battery and Military Durability

Realme just dropped the Note 70 in the Philippines and this feels like they’re going back to basics in the best possible way. While everyone’s chasing flagship specs and AI features, Realme has seemed to build a phone that’s designed to survive real life – which is refreshing when you think about how fragile modern smartphones have become. This article will discuss everything about the latest Realme Note 70, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Realme Note 70 Overview

Built Like a Tank

Realme Note 70 Design

The standout feature here isn’t the processor or camera – it’s the ArmorShell build with double-strength glass and 1.8-meter drop resistance. They’ve also thrown in MIL-STD-810H certification, which is military-grade durability testing. That’s the kind of spec you usually see on rugged phones that cost three times as much. Meanwhile, Beach Gold and Obsidian Black are the color choices.

It’s funny how we’ve normalized carrying around $1,000+ devices that crack if you look at them wrong, while Realme’s out here making a phone that can actually handle being dropped by accident. The IP54 rating covers basic water and dust resistance, so you’re covered for everyday mishaps.

Battery

Here’s where Realme gets serious – 6,300mAh battery capacity. That’s genuinely massive, especially at this price point. Realme claims 20 hours of video streaming or 10 hours of gaming.

The 15W charging isn’t exactly fast by today’s standards – 50% in about an hour – but when you’ve got this much battery capacity, you’re not going to be charging very often anyway. .

Display and Performance

The 6.7-inch display runs at 90Hz with 563 nits peak brightness. They’ve added Smart Touch technology that works with sweaty or damp hands.  Performance comes from the Unisoc T7250 chipset with 4GB RAM expandable to 8GB, plus 64GB storage.

Realme Note 70 Specifications

  • Display: 6.7-inch, 90Hz, 563 nits peak brightness
  • Processor: Unisoc T7250
  • RAM: 4GB (expandable to 8GB)
  • Storage: 64GB internal
  • Battery: 6,300mAh with 15W charging
  • Durability: ArmorShell build, 1.8m drop resistance, MIL-STD-810H
  • Water/Dust: IP54 rating
  • Special Features: Smart Touch (works with wet/sweaty hands)
  • Colors: Beach Gold, Obsidian Black

Realme Note 70 Price in Nepal and Availability

The Realme Note 70 launches in the Philippines at PhP 3,999, available through Realme Shopee and TikTok Shop. When it makes to Nepal, it would start at no less than NPR 7,500, making it one of the most affordable smartphones with military-grade durability and massive battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE launched with Galaxy AI and blade design

0

Samsung just announced the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, and it feels like they’re finally getting serious about competing with Apple’s AirPods while keeping things affordable. At the price it will come, these are positioned as the middle child between budget and premium.  This article will discuss everything about the latest Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE Overview

Blade Design Evolution

Samsung Galaxy Buds3 FE design

Remember when Samsung’s earbuds looked completely different from AirPods? Well, those days are gone. The Buds 3 FE adopts the blade stem design from the Buds 3 Pro, which is basically Samsung admitting that Apple got the ergonomics right. It’s funny how we’ve come full circle – everyone mocked the AirPods stems initially, and now every brand is copying them.

Talking about the designm the Buds 3 FE features IP54 rating which handles sweat and light rain.  Samsung went with black and gray color options, which is refreshingly simple compared to the rainbow of colors everyone else is pushing.

Galaxy AI

Galaxy AI integration is where things get interesting. You’re getting real-time translation through Interpreter mode, which is genuinely useful if you travel or work with international colleagues. Plus there’s hands-free Google Gemini access, because apparently we need to talk to AI assistants through our earbuds now.

The adaptive equalization adjusts sound based on your listening habits, which sounds gimmicky but actually works well once the system learns your preferences. Samsung’s also throwing in 360 Audio spatial audio and 24-bit Hi-Fi sound, which puts these ahead of basic AirPods in terms of audio features.

Building on the Buds FE Legacy

Galaxy Buds3 FE

The original Galaxy Buds FE launched in October 2023 at $99 as Samsung’s budget option. They were decent for the price but felt pretty basic compared to flagship earbuds. The Buds 3 FE feels like Samsung actually listening to feedback – you’re getting the comfort of wingtips, better ANC with three microphones, and significantly upgraded features.

It’s positioned against Apple’s 3rd gen AirPods, but honestly, the feature set is more comprehensive. Apple’s got the ecosystem lock-in advantage, but Samsung’s offering broader compatibility and more advanced audio features.

Battery Life and Connectivity

Battery life hits 6 hours with ANC on, extending to 24 hours with the case. Turn off ANC and you’re looking at 8.5 hours from the buds and 30 hours total.

The charging case only supports USB-C, which is fine since everything’s moving that direction anyway. Bluetooth 5.4 handles connectivity, and Samsung devices get dual device pairing for switching between phone and tablet.

Controls and Codecs

Samsung went with pinch and swipe gestures instead of taps, which should reduce accidental activation. Codec support includes AAC, SBC, and Samsung’s own Seamless Codec for better quality when paired with Galaxy devices.
