The Go 14 and Go 15 laptops come with an AMD Ryzen 5 7520U chip, but only one of them has a touch screen.

Acer has launched the Aspire Go 14 and Go 15 (2024) in Nepal. These laptops are offered in a slim design option and are quite reliable for performance centric tasks as well. The laptop is powered by the new AMD Ryzen 5 7520U processor paired with 8GB of RAM. In Nepal, Max International and Mercantile are the official distributors of Acer products and are currently available in two sizes: 14 and 15.6 inches. In this article, we will discuss its specifications and price in Nepal.
Acer Aspire Go (2024) Overview:
Design and Display
For the design, the Acer Aspire Go 14 features a clean silver tone with a slim and lightweight build, which makes it easy to carry on the go. The laptop design also makes sure to keep ports accessible easily, which includes USB-C, HDMI, and USB 3.2.

The Go 14 comes with a 14-inch WUXGA panel with that taller 16:10 aspect ratio, while the Go 15 goes for a bigger 15.6-inch FHD touchscreen but sticks to the older 16:9 shape. The touch part is nice to have, sure, but the 16:9 panel just feels a bit dated once you’ve used something taller, especially for scrolling, documents, that kind of stuff.
As for the panels themselves, both are pretty average. Brightness isn’t great, colors are kind of limited, and everything’s locked to 60Hz with color gamut limited to a mere 45% NTSC. But at the same time, this is kind of normal here. You’re not really getting significantly better panels than this in this range anyway.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, both of them run on the AMD Ryzen 5 7520U. AMD says it's a “7000 Series” processor, but it’s actually built on the older Zen 2 architecture. Which is the same stuff AMD was using a few years ago. You’re getting 4 cores, 8 threads, boosts up to 4.3 GHz, and for basic things like browsing, docs, calls, and YouTube, it’s fine. But anything pushed further from that, it starts to feel slow pretty quickly, especially when you compare it to newer chips.
Now the “bigger difference” between the two is the memory. The Go 14 comes with 16GB, which is great to see. The Go 15, unfortunately, only has 8GB, and it’s soldered, so that’s it. And 8GB in 2026 is also not something recommended. A few Chrome tabs, maybe something running in the background, is enough to make your regret your purchase decision. Meanwhile, storage is the same on both, 512GB SSD.

The laptop comes equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a fast 512GB NVMe SSD.

Connectivity and Battery
The Aspire Go 14 supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. For the ports it has all the essential ports such as USB Type-C, USB 3.2, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone jack.

Talking about the laptop battery, the Go 15’s 53Wh battery sounds fine on paper, but in actual use, it doesn’t really hold up. You’ll struggle to get 6 hours out of it, even after turning the brightness down. That’s a bit disappointing, especially when other laptops around this range tend to last longer. Acer says up to 10 hours, but yeah… that’s more of a best-case scenario than anything real. In normal use, it’s more like 5 to 7 hours. The Go 14 isn’t much different either. The battery is smaller, so expectations should stay in check there, too. Both charge using a 65W adapter.
Should you buy the Acer Aspire Go 2024 in Nepal?
The Acer Aspire Go 14 is the easier one to recommend. It feels more balanced overall, it is more lightweight, and the display, with its size, is satisfactory enough. The Go 15, meanwhile, doesn’t really bring better performance to the table as both machines feel the same in day-to-day tasks. What you’re really getting here is a larger screen and a touchscreen, but with a few trade-offs in usability.
