Design and Display

Much like its predecessor, the new Spin has a modern design with minimal bezels. Being a 2-in-1, the Spin 5 can fold on itself to be used like a tablet. The left side features a retractable stylus that you can use to navigate the interface. Moreover, it is relatively compact measuring 31.1 x 21.8 x 1.69 cm and weighing about 1.6 kg.  Moving on to the display, it's a 14-inch WUXGA IPS panel. The 1920x1200 resolution paired with the 16:10 aspect ratio makes for an enjoyable viewing experience. Similarly, the 60Hz touch screen has multi-touch and AES pen support for workflows requiring stylus input.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the new Acer Spin 5 (2023) is powered by 13th Gen Intel processors. You can configure it with either the Core i5-1335U or a more powerful Core i7-1355U. Both are 10 Core (2P + 8E) 12 Thread CPUs with boost clock speeds of 4.6 GHz and 5 GHz respectively.  Furthermore, it is complemented by Intel’s integrated Iris Xe Graphics with either 80(@1.25GHz) or 96 Execution units (@1.30GHz). Movimemory,  you get 16GB of DDR4 RAM alongside a 512GB M.2 SSD. As for the OS, the laptop boots on Windows 11 Home out of the box. 

Battery and Connectivity

The new Spin 5 (2023) features a 56Wh 4-cell Lithium battery. You can charge it via the included 65W Type-C adapter. For wired connections, you get two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A port, and an HDMI port.
