Amazfit launched the GTR 2e and GTS 2e smartwatches back in January. And they have finally made their way into Nepal. Both devices come as a cheaper alternative to the GTR 2 and GTS 2 which are already available in Nepal. For the most part, they offer near-identical features to their expensive cousins. However, for a price cut, Amazfit has had to cut down some features too. Allow me to discuss the Amazfit GTR 2e and GTS 2e smartwatch along with their respective price in Nepal.

Amazfit GTR 2e Overview:

Similar to the GTR 2, the 2e has a round dial as well. It comes with a 2.5D curved surface borderless design. You get two buttons on the side of the 1.39" AMOLED display. Furthermore, the screen has tempered glass protection and an anti-fingerprint coating. The GTR 2e is available only in a single Sport version. Thus, you get a titanium alloy case only and not the stainless steel one. However, it still comes with a 5ATM waterproof rating. Coming from the Amazfit GTR 2, one of the main features that have been dropped in the GTR 2e is the speaker. As a result, you won't be able to make calls over Bluetooth and the built-in music player feature is not there either. Moreover, there is no WiFi connectivity support too.

Other than that, the core features remain pretty much the same. You get notification support for Android and iOS, watch faces, and music playback control. For fitness tracking, it uses the same BioTracker 2 optical sensor. It helps to measure heart rate and SpO2. Similarly, the built-in GPS and GLONASS help track outdoor activities like running, swimming, and so on. In terms of fitness tracking, it has 90 built-in sport modes with smart recognition. A new feature on this one is the temperature monitoring system. It shows you the graph of your temperature readings along with your current ambient temperature.

Under the hood, it has the same 471mAh battery. However, with features cut-out, the battery backup should be more. Amazfit claims that you can get 24 days in typical usage. That is a bold claim so we'll have to try it out to see what it offers in reality. The charging time is rated at 2.5 hours to get from 0 to 100%.

Amazfit GTS 2e Overview:

Moving on, GTS 2e comes with a rectangular dial and a single button on the side. However, it too has a 2.5D curved surface borderless design, tempered glass protection alongside an anti-fingerprint coating. Its 1.65" AMOLED screen has a 341 PPI pixel density and a resolution of 384 x 442 pixels. Likewise, the Amazfit GTS 2e an aluminum alloy body with a plastic matte bottom case. Furthermore, like the GTS 2, this one too is 5ATM water-resistant. Overall, its design gives out a bit of Apple Watch vibes and is elegant to look at.

GTS 2e uses the same BioTracker 2 sensor that we talked about in the GTR 2e. It helps you track your heart rate and SpO2 levels. Furthermore, it offers similar features such as a PAI health assessment system, sleep quality tracking, and stress monitoring.

Unlike the GTS 2, this one has a temperature sensor. You also get 90 built-in sports modes, an offline voice assistant, and call notifications. However, the Amazfit GTS 2e lacks a speaker so you'll not be able to make calls. This smartwatch has a 246mAh battery inside. It is rated to last 14 days with typical use, 24 days with basic use, and 7 days with heavy use. And it takes about 2 hours to completely charge the device.

The price of both the Amazfit GTR 2e and GTS 2e smartwatch in Nepal was Rs. 15,499. Recently, the GTS one has dropped to Rs. 12,999. You can buy them in Nepal from different mobile shops in Nepal.
