Dimensity

MediaTek is a leading semiconductor company that designs and manufactures chips for various electronic devices, including smartphones, tablets, and smart home products. MediaTek's chipsets regularly find a place in smartphones and tablets. It is the only company that challenges the sheer dominance of Qualcomm in the semiconductor industry. That being said, it has different lines of chipsets: Helio and Dimensity. The latter is a series of 5G-enabled processors and includes further distinctions. The 6000 series are a line of affordable chipsets, that sit right above Helio processors. Then there are the 7000 and 8000 series covering the midrange and premium midrange space respectively. Finally, the Dimensity 9000 series comprises MediaTek's flagship offering, the latest and greatest one being Dimensity 9400. The Taiwanese foundry opted for this numbering scheme not so long ago. Regardless, the Dimensity line of processors has always been 5G ready chips and will continue to be so even if the numbering scheme changes over time.
