DJI has officially launched the Osmo Action 6, showcasing some of the most significant upgrades in the Action series to date. Here in this article, we'll get through the specs, features, and expected price of the DJI Osmo Action 6 in Nepal.
DJI Osmo Action 6 Overview
A Larger 1/1.1-inch Sensor + Variable Aperture
The biggest upgrade on the Osmo Action 6 is its 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensor, significantly larger than previous generations. This helps capture more light, offering stronger low-light performance and wider dynamic range.
DJI has also introduced a variable aperture for the first time in its action cam lineup, ranging from f/2.0 to f/4.0. This allows users to switch between low-light-friendly wide apertures and sharper, deeper depth-of-field settings. So, you have more controls this time.

Other than that, the sensor uses DJI’s fused large pixels, delivering 2.4µm pixel size, while the square design enables flexible cropping for 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1 formats. Color accuracy is also improved with 10-bit recording and the D-Log M color profile.
4K Videos at 120fps
Likewise, the Action 6 continues providing 4K at 120fps video recording capabilities. While the main sensor is said to offer up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range with a wide 155-degree mative field of view. To keep things bright in low-light scenarios, you also get SuperNight mode that can capture 4K res videos at 60fps.
For stabilization, DJI includes RockSteady 3.0+, HorizonBalancing, and 360° HorizonSteady, keeping footage perfectly level even during full rotations. These upgrades make the Action 6 extremely reliable for high-speed sports and shaky environments.
Design and Body
Talking of the design, the Osmo Action 6 maintains DJI’s compact rectangular design, now with improved ruggedness. It is waterproof up to 20 meters without needing a case, and up to 60 meters with DJI’s diving housing. The body remains functional in extreme temperatures down to –20°C, making it suitable for snow sports and cold-weather adventures.

You get dual OLED touchscreens, a large 2.5-inch rear display, and a 1.46-inch front display, both supporting wet-touch operation. The camera also includes three built-in microphones with wind reduction, plus support for DJI Mic transmitters without a receiver, thanks to the OsmoAudio ecosystem.
