Last year, the Magic 7 series was the first Honor device to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and 3D face recognition. Now, it’s time for the yearly upgrade of their flagship lineup as they are preparing to launch the upcoming Honor Magic 8 Series next week. Let’s dive into this article, discussing everything about the latest Honor Magic 8 series, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
Honor Magic 8 Series Overview
Display and Design
The Magic 8 Pro features a 6.7-inch micro-quad-curved OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The standard Magic 8 has a slightly smaller 6.58-inch flat screen, but with the same 1.5K, with a 120Hz refresh rate screen. Similarly, the Magic 8 Pro will come in Rising Sun Gold, Azure, Snow White, and Velvet Black colours, whereas Black, White, Light Blue, and Gold will be available for the standard model.
Performance and Software
At the heart of the Magic 8 series is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s current flagship chip. Honor’s flagship phones always pack top-end processors, and this one is arguably better than Apple’s A19 Pro and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500. Both phones run MagicOS 10, based on Android 16. Alongside the Magic 8 phones, Honor plans to launch other devices like a smartwatch, tablet, and Earbuds. The tablet will also get the flagship treatment.

Camera and Battery
Like usual, the Magic 8 Pro’s camera setup is expected to be impressive. Last year’s flagship was also ranked alongside the ranks of S25 Ultra, iPhone 16 Pro Max and other top-of-the-line smartphones. This guy will feature a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with optical stabilisation. Up front, there’s a 50MP selfie camera. Battery-wise, it packs a massive 7,200mAh with 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. The standard Magic 8 shares the same camera layout but likely skips wireless charging, and its battery is only slightly smaller at 7,000mAh with 90W wired charging.
Honor Magic 8 Series Rumors and Availability
Last year, even though there were talks about the Magic 7 Pro launching in Nepal, it didn’t arrive. Nearly two years ago, the Magic 6 Pro launched at around NPR 159,999. Considering this and the typical pricing trend, we’d speculate the Magic 8 series could start in a similar range if it makes it to Nepal this year.
