Honor Magic V6 is launching in a week and here's everything we know so far

Honor is widely expected to unveil the Magic V6 at its pre-MWC showcase in Barcelona on Sunday. The Magic V6 is very much hyped at the moment and is expected to be a bold leap forward in the foldable space, with its heavy focus on battery endurance, and ultra-thin design that could make it the most compelling book-style foldable of the year. In this article, we'll explore the key rumored specifications and features of the Honor Magic V6.

Honor Magic V6 Rumors

Design and Display

From what has surfaced through leaks and teasers, the Honor Magic V6 continues Honor's ultra-thin foldable philosophy, potentially thinner and lighter than the Magic V5's already slim ~4.1mm unfolded profile. The device is expected to feature improved Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) on the inner foldable display, along with a notably low 1.5% reflection rate. A standout design option appears to be a striking "Red" (also referred to as "Red Rabbit") edition featuring a textured, suede-like finish that shifts appearance under different lighting, paired with an octagonal camera module for a distinctive look. On the durability front, Honor appears to be going all-in with an IP68 + IP69 dual water and dust resistance rating 

On the display front, the cover screen is rumored to carry a resolution of 2420 × 1080 pixels, while the inner foldable main screen is expected at 2352 × 2172 pixels. Both panels are anticipated to deliver flagship-grade brightness and refresh rates, though we do not know the exact figures yet.

Performance

Under the hood, the Magic V6 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, featuring a prime-core cluster clocked at up to 4.61 GHz.  Honor is also rumored to include its in-house C1+ RF enhancement chip and E2 power management chip, which are designed to improve connectivity reliability and overall power efficiency as well. Other than that, the phone is expected to come paired with RAM configurations up to 16GB, with storage options reaching up to 1TB on higher-end variants.

Cameras

The Magic V6 is rumored to feature a triple rear camera system headlined by a 200MP primary wide-angle sensor. Alongside the main sensor, an ultra-wide lens and a periscope telephoto lens (likely with 3x optical zoom) are expected to round out the rear setup. However, the front camera details for both the cover screen and inner display remain unconfirmed ahead of the official launch.

Battery and Others

Battery capacity is perhaps the most talked-about aspect of the Magic V6. The satellite variant is rumored to pack a massive 7,150mAh cell, while the standard variant is expected to carry a 6,850mAh battery.  Charging speeds are equally impressive on paper, with the satellite variant expected to support up to 120W wired charging (confirmed via 3C certification), alongside up to 120W wireless charging mentioned in select leaks. Non-satellite models may be capped at 80W wired charging. Security is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and the device will run MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
