Honor X6d launched with Dimensity 6300 5G SoC and 50MP Camera

Right at the tail end of last year, Honor launched the Honor Play 60A in China, and now the phone has quietly made its way overseas in the form of the Honor X6d. Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Honor Play 60A features a standard budget-friendly style, very similar to the Honor 60A Play. It has a flat middle frame combined with a large bottom chin that houses the display, topped with a U-shaped notch. Honor offers this model in two colors: Midnight Black and Ocean Cyan.

You get a 6.75-inch LCD display with a 720p+ resolution. It’s a large panel for media consumption and basic tasks with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. The panel uses aluminosilicate glass protection, offers up to 450 nits typical brightness, and includes eye-comfort features like dynamic dimming.

The biggest upgrade over the Play 60A is the rear camera. The X6d packs a 50MP f/2.0 single camera, a notable jump from the 13MP lens on the former. While it’s limited to 1080p @ 30fps video recording, the improvement in photo quality should be better. On the front, there’s a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera, unchanged from the Play 60A, which is enough for video calls and casual selfies.
