Just as it launched its powerful gaming phones yesterday with big batteries, Honor has announced another similar smartphone, which is also going to be their first phone of 2026. The Honor Power 2 is launching next week as the successor to the original Honor Power that arrived in April 2024. This mid-range phone packs the largest battery Honor's ever put in a smartphone at 10,080mAh, paired with the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset. This article will discuss everything about the latest Honor Power 2, including its specifications and availability. Let's dive in!

      Honor Power 2 Overview

      Display and Design

      undefined

The Power 2 features a 6.79-inch flat LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution (2640 × 1200 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. Its brightness apparently hits 8,000 nits for HDR content, which is unheard of in any smartphone; inasmuch, it might even sound like someone just threw random numbers on the wall. The phone measures 7.98mm in thickness and weighs 216g.

The rear design takes clear inspiration from the iPhone 17 Pro series, according to official images. It comes in three color options: Midnight Black, Snow White, and Sunrise Orange. The frame is made from metal, and the phone is codenamed "Saber" internally.

      Performance and Software

The Power 2 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite chipset, which reportedly outperforms the Dimensity 8400. The chip features a prime CPU core clocked at 3.40GHz, three cores at 3.20GHz, and four cores at 2.20GHz. It has not been launched yet, but it appeared on Geekbench with the model number SER-AN00. Anyway, you're getting 12GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage, plus 12GB of virtual RAM. And the phone runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10 on top, same as the Honor Win series.

      Camera System

Because of its priority in performance and battery, it seems the Power 2 is not really made for cameras. Here, you're getting a basic 50MP primary rear camera paired with a 5MP ultra-wide lens. The front camera is a 16MP sensor.

      Battery and Charging

      undefined

The most mind-blogging, headline-catching news is its battery. Like the Honor Win's massive battery, it also features a big 10,080mAh battery, which is now the largest battery Honor's ever shipped in a phone. Honor claims the Power 2 can deliver 20.3 hours of continuous screen-on time, 22 hours of short-video playback, or 14.2 hours of gaming on a single charge.  Similarly, the battery gets its juice from an 80W fast charging, though there's no wireless charging support.
