Back in August of last year, Honor unveiled the Watch GS 3 with an industry-first 8-channel heart rate sensor. Some 5 months later, the watch is finally up for pre-order in China. Let’s take a look at the specs, features, expected price, and availability of the Honor Watch GS 3 in Nepal.
Honor Watch GS 3 Overview:
8-channel heart rate sensor
As mentioned earlier, the standout feature of the Honor Watch GS 3 is its heart rate sensor. It’s an optical PPG sensor paired with an 8-channel AI engine for accurate results. To compare, most mainstream smartwatches have a dual-channel system.
Out of the 8 channels, four are used to process the data collected by the sensor based on 20 different built-in scenarios. As per the company, the heart rate data by Watch GS 3 has an accuracy of up to 97%.
Design and Display
Moving on, this smartwatch sports a 1.43″ curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and an effective pixel density of 326PPI. It is enclosed in a 316L low-carbon stainless steel body. The overall thickness and weight are listed at 10.5mm and 44g grams, respectively.
Honor Watch GS 3 is available in three color options: Midnight Black, Classic Gold, and Ocean Blue. The blue and gold color variants come with Nappa calfskin leather, whereas the Streamer Classic (Midnight Black) has a fluoro-rubber strap. In addition, the Classic Gold model goes through a gold-processing model.
Health and Fitness Tracking
Honor Watch GS 3 has all the usual health tracking features, including heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking. It even supports continuous blood oxygen level (SpO2) monitoring. To note, the sensing area of the new sensor is 43.7% larger.
There are over 100 different sports modes including 10 professional ones. The watch also has a dual-frequency GPS system for accurate location tracking.

Battery and Charging
