So, in this article, let’s take a closer look at Honor’s first gaming tablet, the Win Pad, including its features, specifications, availability, and expected price in Nepal.

      Honor Win Pad Overview

      Design and Display

The Honor Win Pad features a compact 8.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,304 × 1,440 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, making it suitable for smooth visuals in supported games. Honor also claims a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits and a 93% screen-to-body ratio.

On the design front, the Win Pad has a metal body measuring 6.1mm thick and weighing around 315 grams. The rear panel houses a camera and the built-in cooling fan, which features lighting effects. Its lightweight build should make it comfortable to hold during gaming sessions.

      Performance and Gaming Features

The Honor Win Pad is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3nm process. It comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. This combination is designed to handle demanding mobile games and multitasking.

On the software side, the tablet runs MagicOS 11 based on Android 17. It includes Honor’s Geek Center, which lets users customize processor and graphics performance, memory allocation, and power limits. Users can also save their preferred settings as separate profiles for different games. A Full Throttle mode is available for prioritizing performance when needed.

For a more immersive gaming experience, the Win Pad also features dual X-axis linear vibration motors that provide haptic feedback in supported games. Combined with its flagship chipset and customizable performance settings, these features are designed to deliver a more immersive gaming experience.

      Cooling System

One of the Honor Win Pad’s standout features is its built-in cooling fan, which can spin at up to 15,000RPM. It works alongside a dual vapor-chamber cooling system to dissipate heat generated during demanding gaming sessions.

Honor claims that the cooling system can reduce the tablet’s surface temperature by up to 8°C under its test conditions. Users can adjust the fan speed manually or let it change automatically based on temperature. The fan also features lighting effects that respond to its operating mode.

This active cooling system is designed to help the tablet manage heat during extended gaming sessions and maintain performance for longer. However, its effectiveness in real-world use will depend on factors such as the game being played and the surrounding temperature.

      Battery and Other Features

The Honor Win Pad packs a 10,000mAh battery and supports 66W wired charging. It also supports 27W wired reverse charging, allowing users to charge compatible devices using the tablet. The device supports separate charging and discharging, which is designed to reduce battery-related heat when gaming while connected to a power source.

For audio, the tablet features quad speakers for a more immersive experience during gaming and media playback. It also has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for basic photography and video calls.

In terms of connectivity, the Honor Win Pad supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a USB Type-C port. However, it is a Wi-Fi-only tablet, so it does not support cellular connectivity through a SIM card.
