HONOR has officially launched the HONOR X9e Pro, its latest X-series smartphone focused on durability, battery life, and outdoor usability. The phone comes with a massive 11,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a 6.8-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display, a 108MP OIS camera, and IP69K water resistance. It also brings 3-meter drop resistance and 10-meter water resistance, making durability one of its biggest selling points. In this article, I will discuss everything about this upcoming phone, including the expected HONOR X9e Pro price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

Starting off, the HONOR X9e Pro follows the same durability-focused approach as the X9 series, with a flat frame and a large circular camera module on the back. At first glance, it looks quite similar to the HONOR X9d. Here you might get the option to choose from “Deep Purple”, “Dawn Gold”, “Reddish Brown”, and “Midnight Black” metallic-look finishes.

Besides that, durability is also one of the major highlights here. Durability is one of the biggest highlights of the phone. HONOR says the X9e Pro can survive drops from up to 3 meters and has received SGS 5-star drop-resistance certification. It also carries IP69K, IP69, and IP68 ratings for protection against dust and water. The company further claims that the phone can withstand submersion in water at depths of up to 10 meters. However, these durability and water-resistance claims are based on controlled testing conditions and may vary with everyday use.

Up front, the X9e Pro features a large 6.8-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel reaches up to 10,000 nits of peak brightness, which should make it easier to view outdoors under bright sunlight. It also supports the DCI-P3 color gamut and comes with features such as 3,840Hz PWM dimming, AI Defocus Display, AI Circadian Night Display, and Dynamic Dimming.

So, the display should offer punchy colors, deep blacks, and smooth animations. HONOR has also added a 1.3mm narrow bezel design on the top and sides, giving the phone a more immersive look from the front.

The phone packs a massive 11,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, making it one of the largest batteries we have seen on a mainstream smartphone. HONOR claims the battery can provide up to 164.5 hours of music playback, 66.8 hours of video playback, and 35.6 hours of short-video playback under its testing conditions. It also supports 80W HONOR SuperCharge, allowing the large battery to be topped up relatively quickly. It additionally supports 27W reverse wired charging

Interestingly, this is quite a bump over the previous X9 series sibling, the HONOR X9d’s 8,300mAh battery. So, if you’re someone who needs a phone that can keep up with long hours of continuous use without constantly reaching for the charger, the X9e Pro could be an interesting option.

Coming to the camera, the HONOR X9e Pro features a 108MP primary camera with OIS. The main sensor measures 1/1.67-inch and supports both OIS and EIS for more stable photos and videos. It can also record videos at up to 4K resolution. Besides this, HONOR has added several AI-powered imaging features, including an underwater camera mode for capturing photos and videos while the phone is submerged. There is also an AI Image to Video 2.0 feature, which can turn still images into short AI-generated videos.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the HONOR X9e Pro is powered by an all-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. It is paired with HONOR’s Hummingbird Architecture 2.0, which is designed to deliver smoother and more consistent performance during everyday use. The chip used in this phone is the same chip that we recently saw in the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.

So, the phone should be more than enough for handling regular tasks such as browsing, social media, streaming, multitasking, and casual gaming without much trouble. Additionally, the device should offer a smooth experience in games like PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, and similar titles, although sustained performance can vary depending on the game and thermal management.

Memory-wise, the X9e Pro comes with 8GB of RAM, while HONOR’s RAM Turbo feature allows it to virtually expand the memory up to 24GB using internal storage. On the software front, the X9e Pro runs HONOR’s latest software experience and brings several AI-powered features. These include AI FreeGrip, which can recognize how you are holding the phone and adjust certain interface elements accordingly.
