Huawei introduced the latest iteration of the flagship Matebook X Pro laptop at MWC 2022 event. The new model builds on the strengths of its predecessor while improving in several areas. However, instead of opting for a 12th gen processor, it comes with a last-gen CPU. Design and Display
The Matebook X Pro 2022 flaunts a 14.2-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with 3.1K (3120 x 2080 pixel) resolution. It’s a bump from a 13.9-inch screen with 3000 x 2000 pixels resolution on the 2021 model. 
The panel refreshes at 90Hz and boasts a 3:2 aspect ratio. As per Huawei, this is the world’s first TÜV Rheinland Pro-level color accuracy display with dual-color gamuts—sRGB and DCI-P3. The screen is also VSEA Display HDR 400 certified and has a color accuracy of Delta E less than 1 (△E<1).
Moreover, it features a peak brightness of 500nits. The notebook has a metal build and weighs just 1.38kg. The top has a slim 6mm bezel that houses an integrated HD webcam. The Matebook X Pro 2022 comes in a sole Space Grey color.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The laptop has a full-size backlit chiclet keyboard with a 1.5mm key travel distance. The biometrics option includes a fingerprint sensor in the power button. The touchpad also supports the Huawei Free Touch feature, which allows using different gestures for screenshots, screen recording, volume control, and others.
Performance
At its core, the laptop is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1195G7 processor. It’s a quad-core processor with 8 threads, 5GHz of max turbo frequency, and 12MB of cache memory.
Over on the memory front, it has 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 1 TB NVMe PCIe SSD storage.
Likewise, the graphics are handled by integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU. To keep the thermals in check, the laptop comes with a dual shark-fin cooling system with an ultra-slim vapor cooling heat dissipation module. On to the software front, it boots on Windows 11.
Battery and Audio
Moving on, fueling the device is a 60Wh LiPo battery that charges via a 90W GaN charger. Interestingly, the laptop has four USB-C ports, all of which allow charging, DP, and data transfer. On the left, there’s also a 3.5mm headphone port. For audio, Huawei has outfitted Matebook X Pro 2022 with six speakers.
