Lava Blaze 2 Pro announced with Unisoc T616 SoC and 50MP camera

Lava is on the verge of making a comeback in the already crowded Indian market. The brand unveiled the super-hyped Lava Agni 2 Pro just a while ago, with a bang. Now the Indian company has announced the Blaze 2 Pro. In this article, we'll walk through the specs, features, and expected price of the Lava Blaze 2 Pro.

Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Blaze 2 Pro boasts a boxy form factor with flat frames and curved edges. This is an all-plastic build as obvious to the budget category. Likewise, the shiny back panel has a squarish camera module, housing the triple camera setup. Lava ships this guy in three colors: Cool Green, Thunder Black, and Swag Blue. Coming to the front side, you get a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with an HD+ resolution (1600 x 720 pixels). The refresh rate is 90Hz here, but this guy gets an old-school waterdrop notch as compared to a hole-punch one on its predecessor Blaze 2.

Performance

The smartphone is powered by Unisoc's T616 chipset. This 4G silicon features two Cortex-A75 cores at 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.80 GHz. Handling the graphics is a Mali-G57 MP1. Lava has paired the chip with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. On the software side, the Blaze 2 Pro boots on Android 12 OS with no bloatware and ads, as claimed by Lava.

Optics

As for the optics, there is a triple camera setup with a 50MP rear camera and an unspecified 2MP + 2MP combo. Over on the front, you get an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
