Lava launches affordable Yuva Star 2 with 5000mAh battery

Lava introduced the Yuva Star last year, and now it’s back with the Yuva Star 2, offering yet another budget-friendly smartphone. In this article, we’ll go over the details of the Lava Yuva Star 2, including its specs and expected price in Nepal.

Lava gave the Yuva Star 2 a surprisingly premium look, which is something you don’t usually see in this price range. It is available in Radiant Black and Sparkling Ivory colors.

On the front, there’s a 6.55-inch HD+ screen, which looks decent for everyday tasks. For security, you get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and it also supports face unlock for added convenience.

Under the hood, Lava has included a Unisoc chipset, though they haven’t mentioned the exact model. The phone pairs this chip with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of storage. What’s cool is that it supports virtual RAM, allowing you to expand the memory up to 8GB using free storage.

On the software end, it runs on Android 14 Go Edition, which is lighter and smoother for budget devices. Powering all this is a big 5000 mAh battery, and while it only supports 10W charging through a USB Type-C port, it’s good enough for basic needs.

Camera and Rest

On the camera side, the Yuva Star 2 comes with an AI-supported dual rear camera setup, led by a 13MP main sensor. Honestly, for this price, that’s pretty decent. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 5MP front-facing camera.
