      Lenovo Legion 5a Price Nepal

Lenovo has extended its mid-range Legion 5 series of gaming laptops by introducing the Legion 5a Gen 11 (2026) globally. These new devices from Lenovo now ship with AMD's new “Gorgon Point” CPUs and NVIDIA RTX 5060 GPU. The major improvements in this device include better port placement, a more lightweight design, and several other refinements. So, in this article, I will discuss everything you need to know about the Legion 5a, including its specifications, features, and expected price in Nepal.

      Lenovo Legion 5a Overview

      Design and Display

Starting with the design, it looks similar to the older Legion 5 series, with a sleek and minimalist design; however, the Legion 5a is made to be thinner and lighter, keeping portability in mind compared to its predecessor. It features a metal top lid that offers a premium, professional look. The laptop weighs around 1.87 kg, which is relatively light compared to gaming laptops on the market. Additionally, it measures 244.5 mm thick, which I can’t say is thin, but it is more portable than traditional, bulky gaming laptops.

As for the display, the Legion 5a features a 15.3-inch 2.5K OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, offering extra screen space for productive tasks like coding and document editing. The display also features a fast refresh rate of 165Hz and supports NVIDIA G-Sync to ensure smooth, tear-free visuals during fast-paced gaming, which is great, as for the older models, we were stuck with only adaptive sync.

While the screen can reach up to 1000 nits of peak and 500 nits of typical brightness, making it perfect for working in bright environments, it is a little disappointing that Lenovo has still not used anti-reflective layers, which are found even on budget laptops nowadays. This means the display is technically bright enough for outdoor use, but you will still struggle in bright indoor lighting or direct sunlight.

Additionally, the display offers a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and is VESA Display HDR True Black certified, delivering vibrant colors, infinite contrast, and perfect blacks, making the Legion 5a excellent for content creators working on color-critical tasks such as video/photo editing or graphic design.

      Performance and Storage

Moving on to performance, as mentioned at the beginning, this new device ships with all-new AMD “Gorgon Point” CPUs, which are essentially a rebranded version of the older “Ryzen AI 300 Series.” You get the option of either an AMD Ryzen 7 450 or a Ryzen 9 465 processor. The Ryzen 7 CPU has 8 cores and 16 threads, whereas the Ryzen 9 CPU has 10 cores and 20 threads, making it better suited to heavy tasks.

Specifically, the Ryzen 7 450 is a rebrand of the older Ryzen 7 350, whereas the Ryzen 9 465 is a rebrand of the Ryzen AI 9 365. Overall, in terms of performance, it should be similar to the previous Legion 5 model.

      lenovo legion 5a performance

For the GPU, we have the NVIDIA RTX 5060 GPU with 8 GB of VRAM. While the VRAM capacity may feel quite limiting in the long run, the GPU’s TGP of up to 115W ensures solid performance in demanding tasks like gaming and rendering. In terms of memory and storage, the laptop supports up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 1 TB of M.2 SSD storage, along with options for future upgrades.

      Battery and Connectivity

Now, for the battery, the Lenovo Legion 5a comes with an 80Whr Li-ion battery and 245W charging. To give you flexibility, it also supports USB-C PD charging up to 100W. This means you don’t need to always carry a heavy brick with you. The only downside would be that the charging would be slow. You can expect all-day use when used conservatively, while for heavy gaming, the battery life is around 1 to 2 hours.

      Legion 5a connectivity

Talking about connectivity, the Legion 5a has basically all the required ports, but compared to its predecessor, the Legion 5, the layout has improved. Earlier, there were only two ports on the back, namely the HDMI port and the power connector, while all the other ports were on the sides, making movement a little restrictive.

With the Legion 5a Gen 11 (2026), on the rear you get 2x USB Type-A (USB 5 Gbps), 1x HDMI, and 1x DC-in, which makes cable management cleaner. Moreover, the laptop supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, offering faster speeds and better stability.

      Other Features

The Legion 5a features a full-size keyboard and a single-zone RGB backlight, with an optional 24-zone RGB backlight. The keys are quite tactile and have enough key travel that feels satisfying to type on. While the trackpad is more on the left side, it is decent in size and is made of plastic.

In terms of audio, the speaker offers little improvement over the older version; the volume is loud and clear enough, but it lacks bass. Saying that, it is still good for video streaming and gaming. Additionally, the Legion 5a comes with a 5MP camera with a privacy shutter.
