Design and Display

Lenovo targets the ThinkPad E14 at small businesses and office personnel who are always on the move. So, it is designed to be strong and portable. For this, Lenovo has used anodized aluminum on the laptop’s top and bottom. Alternative to this all-metal chassis is the aluminum top with a polycarbonate bottom cover setup which is slightly thicker but weighs less. There are two colors to choose from: Black and Mineral Metallic.

You are offered two choices for display too. Most of the models feature an IPS panel, but there are also SKUs with inferior TN panels. Even the most basic IPS screen offers better viewing angles and brightness levels than the TN screen. Users also get 100% sRGB coverage and touch support as optional upgrades.

Lenovo updates the internal components every year. The 2022 iteration of ThinkPad E14 is available with 12th Gen Intel “Alder Lake” and AMD Ryzen 5000-series processors.
