Lenovo launched the Yoga Pro 9i (2024) back in January. Now they are launching a regular version of the laptop. It is named Lenovo Yoga Pro 16s 2024 Extreme Edition in its home country. However, for the rest of the world, it is Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 with the codename “16IMH9”. Let’s discuss further about this laptop in this article.

Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 (16IMH9) Overview

Design and Display

Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 (16IMH9) is an ultrabook with a minimal design, separate company, and series branding on the lid. The entire body of the laptop is made of aluminium while shipping on Luna Grey and Tidal Teal colour options. The top of the lid has a bit of protrusion making it easier for you to open it with a single hand.

You can configure this laptop with four different screen options. Each of these configurations comes in 16 inches while boasting a 3.2K resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. The panel on the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 (16IMH9) can either be IPS or Mini LED. Either of which can have touch support with a matte finish or otherwise.

Performance

For the primary performance, the latest Lenovo laptop relies on the fresh higher-end Intel Core processor. Specifically, it will either have Intel Core Ultra 7 155H or Intel Core Ultra 9 185H. Both of these silicon have 16 cores, 22 threads, 24MB cache, and Intel’s AI engine. The former processor peaks at 4.80GHz while the latter can go up to 5.1GHz.

Intel core ultra

On top of that, you get multiple graphics options as well. You can keep it simple by opting for Intel’s integrated Arc GPU. Else you can choose from NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, 4060, or 4070. All of these discrete graphics cards share a TGP of 100W.

Memory-wise, you get three choices starting from 16GB and going up to 64GB. The RAM is, however, soldered to the board. So, no memory upgrades on the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 (16IMH9). On the other hand, you get ample storage with 512GB or 1TB SSD along with an extra slot with additional 1TB support.

Battery and the rest

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 (16IMH9) draws its power from an 84Wh battery. It also comes with two adapter choices: a 100W USB Type-C one or a 170W barrel jack one. This laptop comes with a respectable port selection. This includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 (one with the Always On feature), one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, one Thunderbolt 4, one HDMI, one 3.5mm combo audio jack, and one SD card reader. Despite the wide port choices, it still misses out on the LAN cable.
