LG Introduces Gram 2026 Series Ahead of CES Showcase

LG Electronics has finally revealed its all-new 2026 LG Gram laptop lineup. This all-new range of LG Gram laptops continues to focus on being ultra-portable notebooks by introducing a newly developed lightweight material called “Aerominum,” and there is a lot more to talk about. In this article, I will discuss everything you need to know about the LG Gram 2026, including its features, specifications, and expected price in Nepal.

LG Gram 2026 Overview:

Durability

Regarding durability, the all-new 2026 LG Gram laptops feature the Aerominum material, a magnesium-aluminium alloy primarily used in the aerospace industry.

LG has also improved scratch resistance, with performance now up over 35% compared to previous models. The chassis of the LG Gram also meets the military-grade standards (MIL-STD) while maintaining the same ultra-light design.

Models Available 

LG gram Pro 17 (17Z90UR):

The first model in the LG Gram lineup is the LG Gram Pro 16, which features a 17-inch IPS display with a WQXGA (2560x1600) resolution. An interesting thing that LG did this time is that they were able to keep the 17-inch display in a chassis comparable to a 16-inch laptop. Regarding graphics, the LG Gram Pro 17 features an RTX 5050 GPU with 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM. Regarding performance, the 16Z90U models will ship with the all-new Intel Core Ultra processor with various chip options.

But note that the 17Z90UR model is exclusive to North America.

LG gram Pro 16 (16Z90U / 16Z95U)

Next, we have the LG Gram Pro 16, which LG says is the lightest 16-inch laptop in its class, which supports both on-device and cloud-based AI. The main highlights of laptops include a 16-inch WQXGA+ display with a resolution of 2880x1800 pixels. On the positive side, it's an OLED display, which delivers an excellent viewing experience with deep blacks and rich contrast. For performance, LG has selected an AMD Ryzen AI 400-series chip, which is highly efficient and powerful for day-to-day tasks.

AI Capability

Talking about the AI capability, selected models of LG Gram will support a dual AI system that combines on-device AI processing with cloud-based AI services. All the AI support models support Microsoft Copilot+ PC alongside LG’s gram chat On-Device AI.

Talking more about on-device AI, it runs on EXAONE 3.5, a small-scale LLM developed by LG AI Research. These features enable LG to enable AI features to operate without a network connection, supporting tasks such as document summarisation, search, translation, and contextual responses.

Battery Life, Charging

Talking about the battery, the 16-inch LG Gram Pro comes with a 77Wh cell delivering up to 27 hours of video playback based on LG’s internal testing. The device also supports fast charging, which enables more than 9 hours of playback with just a 30-minute charge.

Availability and Expected Price in Nepal

Talking about availability, the 2026 LG Gram lineup in South Korea is starting from January 6 on the LG official website, followed by additional sales channels. In Nepal, we don't have any confirmation that the products will be available, but if they are, we will surely update here.
