LG OLED TVs 2025 Overview

Four TV Models

LG has unveiled four TV Models: M5, G5, C5 and B5. All these models range from 42 to 97 inches in size. Bidding farewell to the MLA tech, the brightness-boosting panel tech used by LG over two years, the brand has now used four-stack OLED tech, providing superior brightness.

All about Brightness Guys!

M5 and G5

Emphasizing the flagships M5 and G5, these guys will boast the four-stack OLED panels, which make them three times brighter than the B series 55, 65, 77, and 83 inches.

The South Korean company is claiming the LG G5 to be the brightest TV in the market. Although no exact nit values are available, the G5 boasts over 2000 nits with calibrated picture settings as per the percentage figures. Plus for the first time, G5 will also be available in 48 inches but with lower brightness. And the 97-inch version won’t be that bright either. In terms of refresh rate, it boasts up to 165Hz.

Both models pack an Alpha 11 Gen 2 processor. It has the ability to output all sound sources, including basic stereo, in a virtual 11.1.2 surround sound configuration with improved tonal balance and clarity. This data is compared with the virtual 9.1.2 configuration of 2024.

The M5 and G5 TVs bring the Ambient Light Compensation feature of Filmmaker Mode to LG OLEDs for the first time. This enhancement allows Filmmaker Mode’s precision settings to adjust dynamically to shifting lighting conditions, ensuring viewers enjoy a consistent HDR experience regardless of the brightness or darkness of their environment.

B5 and C5

And as the B5 and C5 are cheaper than the above models, you are not getting the 4-stack OLED here. However, LG mentioned that the C5 gets a slight increase in brightness and color performance over last year’s C5 model. You get an upgraded Alphas 9 processor while the available sizes will be 42 to 83 -inches.

Now, getting to the B5 model, it will be available in sizes ranging from 48 to 83 inches, with a 120Hz OLED panel. One can say the B5 is just a C5 with less brightness and a low-powered processor.

New Remote

Moving on, the remote has also gotten a makeover this time. It’s smaller and has got rid of 1-9 buttons with relocated volume rockers. You get a new AI button, dethroning the voice button of past iterations. Meanwhile, the 6 sponsored shortcut keys are here to stay, providing quick access to your favorite streaming platforms.
