Moto G17 Power launched with Helio G81 SoC and 6000mAh battery

Motorola has launched the Moto G17 Power, a new mid-range smartphone alongside the standard Moto G17. This article will focus on the G17 power with its specs, features, and expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display

In terms of design, the Moto G17 Power weighs 189.9g and is 8.17mm thin, making it slim and comfortable to hold. You get an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. Moto ships this guy in three color options: Pantone Bordeaux, Pantone Alaskan Blue, and Pantone Evening Blue.

As for the display, the Moto G17 Power features a large 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate. Likewise, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Performance

Under the hood, the Moto G17 Power features a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor with an octa-core setup: two Cortex-A75 cores at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.7GHz. It includes an Arm Mali-G52 MC2 GPU at 820MHz and runs on Android 15, though not Android 16. Memory options are 4GB or 8GB, with RAM Boost extending to 16GB ofvirtual RAM. Storage ranges from 128GB to 256GB, expandable up to 1TB via microSD.

Optics

The camera setup on the Moto G17 Power is quite impressive for its price. The rear camera features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and 0.8µm pixel size and a 5MP ultra-wide camera with an f/1.88 aperture. The third sensor assists with ambient light detection and flicker reduction. Upfront, you find a 32MP camera for snapping selfies and taking video calls.
