Motorola has launched a new G-series smartphone in Europe, called the Moto G82. With an OIS camera setup, Snapdragon 695 SoC, and OLED screen, it looks to be a solid mid-range offering. So, let’s go through the complete specs, features, availability, and expected price of the Moto G82 in Nepal.

Design and Display

The Moto G82 follows the same design language that we’ve seen on Motorola’s other G-series devices in 2022, featuring an oval-shaped camera module on the back and a hole-punch display on the front. It’s also pretty lightweight and slim at 173 grams and 7.99mm, respectively. The body is IP52 rated for protection against water and dust.

On the front, you get a 6.6-inch Full HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s an AMOLED panel with an 87.7% screen-to-body ratio and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

Performance

Inside, the G82 is powered by a Snapdragon 695 mobile silicon. Built on an energy-efficient 6nm node, this chipset provides respectable day-to-day performance. Likewise, Motorola has stuffed in a 5000mAh battery that supports 30W of fast charging. The smartphone is getting a sole 6GB RAM and 128GB storage in terms of memory. Nonetheless, the latter is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. Software-wise, it boots on the latest Android 12, however, the company hasn’t pledged anything for software or security patch updates.

Camera

As for the optics, Motorola has gone with a 50MP primary sensor which also supports optical image stabilization (OIS). This is followed by an 8MP ultrawide lens with 118° FoV and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there is a 16MP camera on the aforementioned hole-punch cutout.

Moving on, for audio, the smartphone enjoys a stereo speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos. You also get a 3.5mm headphone jack, by the way. It also supports NFC for hassle-free payments. Similarly, while the OLED screen can house a fingerprint scanner underneath, Motorola has opted for a side-mounted one instead.
