Moto Pad 70 Overview
Design and Display
Starting with design, the Moto Pad 70 comes with a slim and lightweight form factor, measuring just 6.29mm in thickness and weighing 530 grams. It also has a clean chassis with slim bezels around the display and is available in a “Pantone Sea Angel” finish. The tablet also carries an IP52 rating for basic protection against dust and splashes so that you don’t have to worry much about the tablet being damaged from light rain exposure.

On the front, it features a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD with a 2560 × 1600-pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. This refresh rate should deliver decent scrolling through apps and a browsing experience. It also has a 96% DCI-P3 color gamut that should deliver detailed and vibrant visuals.

Additionally, with up to 800 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode, the screen should remain fairly visible in brighter surroundings. This tablet also has TUV Rheinland certification, making it more comfortable for you to use it for longer viewing sessions.
Performance and software
Under the hood, the Moto Pad 70 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset built on a 6nm process. This is the same chip that we saw in the Motorola mid-range phones Moto G77 Power and Moto G37 Power recently. However, the tablet has a larger form factor, so its performance should be slightly better than that of a small-form-factor device.

Memory-wise, this tablet comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which you can expand to 2TB with a microSD card when you run out of space. On the software front, Moto Pad 70 runs on Android 16 and has promised up to 2 major Android upgrades and four years of security patches.

Battery and Camera
Moving on, the Moto Pad 70 packs a large 10,200mAh battery with 68W fast charging support, which is one of the major selling points of this tablet. And Motorola also claims that for casual tasks like video streaming, browsing, and other everyday tasks, this battery should comfortably last for more than a day.

For photography, it comes with a 13MP rear camera paired with an LED flash. While tablets are generally not focused on photography, this camera should be enough for scanning documents, taking quick photos, and handling basic everyday shots. On the front, it gets an 8MP selfie camera for video calls, online meetings, and casual selfies.
For audio, the tablet comes with a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos that should deliver a more immersive audio experience while watching videos or listening to music. Interestingly, the Moto Pad 70 also supports the bundled Moto Pen and the keyboard. However, this bundle is available in only one model of this tablet.
