      Motorola Signature enters the market with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC and 3X periscope zoom lens

      Right after lifting the curtain on the Razr Fold, Motorola quietly made another bold move. Enter the Motorola Signature, the very first smartphone under Motorola’s new ultra-premium Signature series. It brings in a flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC.

      Design and Display

      As for the design, the Motorola Signature boasts a sleek profile with just 6.99mm thickness and 186g weight. It secures IP68 + IP69 resistance and a MIL-STD-810H certification. Moto ships this guy in two shades: Pantone Carbon and Pantone Martini Olive.

      Likewise, the Motorola Signature features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, Full HD+ resolution, up to 6,200 nits peak brightness, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The panel also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+, and includes Pantone Color and Skin Tone certifications.

      Performance

      Under the hood, the Signature is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. This 3nm fabbed flagship chip boasts similar power as compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite. Software-wise, the phone runs Android 16 and comes with several Moto AI features. Motorola promises seven years of OS and security updates.

      Camera and Battery

      Now let's talk about optics. This latest flagship phone from Motorola equips a triple camera setup on the rear. It is headlined by a 50MP Sony Lytia 828 sensor with OIS and an f/1.6 aperture. The phone also includes a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 122-degree FoV and macro support, as well as a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom. Meanwhile, you get a 50MP sensor upfront for selfies and video calls.

      Fueling the smartphone is a 5200mAh Si/Ca battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging support. You also get 10W wireless reverse charging and 5W wired reverse charging.
