It's a compact 100W GaN charger with three USB ports.

MWC has launched a new charger in the Nepali market, featuring a premium build and high power output. The GaNForce 100 Pro is compatible with both heavy-duty devices and a normal smartphone, and it has two Type-C and one Type-A port, which support a total of 100W of power output. With these features, this device targets travelers who want a compact charger that can fill up multiple gadgets at once. And in this article, I will explain about this new charger from MWC in detail, including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
MWC GaNForce 100 Pro Charger Overview
Design and build
The GaNForce 100 Pro Charger has a vertical tower-like style with a compact rectangular block. This makes it compact enough to fit in the tight power strip without blocking adjacent outlets.

Interestingly, this MWC charger has an interactive interface, which looks pretty cool. It has a front-facing display for real-time monitoring of charging speed and power distribution across the three ports, as well as a temperature slider. You can easily check these parameters one by one by tapping the touchscreen on the display panel.
MWC also claims to offer 12 layers of safety protection in this charger. You have an AI temperature control option as well that lets you monitor the charger's thermal levels and take necessary action when overheating occurs. This GaN charger supports different charging protocols like PPS, AVS, and UFCS to make sure all your devices can fill up quickly and safely.
GaN (Gallium Nitride) technology
From the name itself, we can deduce that this MWC charger uses GaN technology. And if you are wondering what GaN stands for, let me explain. Actually, traditional silicon material used in high-power chargers can cause heating issues, which is really risky for electronic devices. To address this heating issue, a new concept based on “Gallium Nitride” has emerged.

Basically, GaN is a material that offers higher power density, power conversion efficiency, and higher-voltage operation. It also makes the charging brick noticeably smaller and compact enough for easy carrying. If you want to know more about GaN Technology, you can check out our explainer article as well.

Ports and charging
Like I mentioned above, the MWC GaNForce 100 Pro houses two Type-C and one Type-A ports. As per MWC, the total power delivered by different charging combinations varies, resulting in different power outputs.
| Combination | Power Distribution Architecture |
| C1 only | 100W |
| C2 only | 100W |
| A1 only | 36W |
| C1 + C2 | 65W + 30W |
| C1 + A1 | 65W + 30W |
| C1 + (C2 + A1) | 65W + 15W |
Device compatibility
Since I had this charger with me at the time of writing this article, I also tested its compatibility with various smartphones. I also used it to charge my Lenovo Legion Pro 5i (2022), which supports PD charging, and measured an average power output of 35-45W. Similarly, when I used the Type-C and Type A ports to charge two devices, I noticed a maximum power output of 50W, and I got the same result when using three ports. It also has a low-temperature operation mode that can increase the device's battery life.

The table below shows my test results. Do check them.
| Brand | Official Charging Technology | Charging status |
| Apple | USB Power Delivery (PD) | Yes |
| Samsung | USB Power Delivery with PPS | Yes |
| Redmi | HyperCharge | Yes |
| Vivo | FlashCharge | Yes |
