Nothing Headphone (a) price in Nepal

Nothing just dropped its second pair of over-ear headphones, and this one is cheaper, more colorful, and somehow has even more battery life than the first one. Let's get into this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest Nothing Headphone (a), including its price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

      Nothing Headphone (a) Overview

      Design and Build

Nothing Headphone (a) design and colors

If you've seen the Nothing Headphone (1), you already have a rough idea of what this looks like: transparent earcups, exposed internals, and that whole aesthetic. But the Headphone (a) has dialed up the color a bit. You get White, Black, Pink, and Yellow, and the yellow especially stands out in a way most headphones don't even attempt.

The build uses lighter materials than the Headphone (1). At 310g, it's slightly lighter than its sibling, which was 329g. The headband is adjustable, the ear cushions use breathable memory foam, and the whole thing folds flat.

One thing Nothing has kept consistent is the physical controls. There's a roller for volume, a paddle for track control, and a dedicated button that you can remap through the Nothing X app. The controls are on the back of the earcup, which some people find awkward, but once you get used to the placement, they work well. The carry pouch is included in the box. Similarly, the headphone is also IP52 rated, which means light splash and dust resistance.

      Sound

The drivers are 40mm titanium-coated dynamic units with a PEN+PU diaphragm. The frequency response goes from 20Hz all the way to 40kHz. Similarly, the tuning leans bass-forward. For casual listening, streaming, and podcasts, these appears to be very well headphone. Where it pulls back compared to the Headphone (1) is in the overall refinement.

The (1) was tuned in collaboration with KEF, and that background shows in how it handles mids and imaging. The (a) is more consumer-friendly, but overall less audiophile. Anyway, the codecs supported are LDAC, AAC, and SBC. LDAC is the main headline for Android users since it allows Hi-Res audio streaming at up to 24-bit/96kHz. For iPhone users, you're stuck with AAC. There's also spatial audio support and an 8-band EQ in the Nothing X app.

      Noise Cancellation

ANC is adaptive and rated up to 40dB, compared to the Headphone (1)'s 42dB. Because of this, we expect low-frequency noise like traffic, train engines, and AC hum to be handled well. However, higher-pitched sounds will be less predictable, and this isn't going to go toe to toe with Sony's or Bose's top-tier headphones in a direct ANC test. But for the price, it competes well.

There are three manual ANC levels plus an adaptive mode, and transparency mode is also in there for when you need to hear your surroundings without pulling the headphones off. Moreover, you get a total of four mics across both earcups handle call quality, with a 3-mic algorithm specifically for calls.

      Battery Life

You get up to 135 hours of playback with ANC off on AAC. With ANC on, that drops to 75 hours. Switch to LDAC, and you're looking at 90 hours without ANC or 62 hours with it. Similarly, fast charging gets you 8 hours of playback from a 5-minute charge with ANC off, or 5 hours with ANC on. And full charge from zero takes 2 hours over USB-C. However, you don’t get any wireless charging here, but USB-C wired charging is also available, and the box also includes a 3.5mm cable if you want to go fully wired.

      Connectivity and App

For connectivity, you get Bluetooth 5.4, dual-device multipoint, Google Fast Pair, and Microsoft Swift Pair. Similarly, on the headphone, you can expect the latency to drop to 120ms when paired with a Nothing phone with Game Mode on. For non-Nothing Android and iPhone users, the Nothing X app covers EQ, ANC settings, low-lag mode, Find My Device, and firmware updates. If you're on Nothing OS 1.5.6 or above, all of this is baked into the phone settings without needing a separate app.

One feature exclusive to Nothing devices is Channel Hop, and the Essential Space integration requires a Nothing phone with the Essential Key. For everyone else, the core experience is still fully functional.
