Nothing Phone (3a) Pro's price hiked for the 12/256GB trim in Nepal

Alongside the cheaper Phone 3(a), CG Mobiles has officially launched the new Nothing Phone (3a) Pro with several upgraded features, especially in the camera department. This article covers the latest Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, including its official price in Nepal.

Design and Display

The Phone (3a) Pro retains a similar design to its sibling, but it stands out with its IP64 rating and revamped camera module. The back of the device showcases Nothing's signature semi-transparent design, illuminated by three LED light strips known as Glyphs.

The design process involved extensive research and development, with the team exploring various sketches and prototypes to achieve the final look. This iterative approach resulted in this kind of camera module, which, although it has been the subject of both polarization and praise. The former comes off as a "cheap" design, while the latter comes off as "a fresh design that also aligns with the brand's design philosophy.

On the front, the Phone (3a) Pro features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rateand 3000-nit brightness. Meanwhile, the display is protected by Panda Glass.

Performance

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and featuring an octa-core CPU, the Phone (3a) Pro delivers enhanced performance. The Adreno 710 GPU delivers smooth graphics performance, handling games and resource-intensive apps with ease. The 5000mAh battery with 50W fast charging is a shared feature between the 3a and 3a Pro, but the Pro model’s higher storage capacity (12GB RAM, 256GB internal) is a key upgrade. However, it's worth noting that the (3a) Pro features a UFS 2.2, which is slower for storage than what we get at this price.

Camera Setup

The camera module itself is notably prominent, featuring a 50MP wide lens, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. This configuration is arranged off-center.

The Pro model also includes advanced video features like 4K@30fps and gyro-EIS for smoother footage. The 32MP selfie camera on the Phone (3a) Pro offers higher resolution than the Phone (3a) 's 32MP front camera.

Connectivity and Features

The Phone (3a) Pro supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC for faster, more reliable connections. USB Type-C 2.0 provides fast data transfer and charging. As with the Phone (3a), the Pro model also lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack.
