It now brings the Glyph bar and a capable 3.5X periscope telephoto lens, all packed into a see-through body!

Nothing has always been different from the crowd with unique design offerings. And the Phone (4a) carries the same legacy with an identical design, yet refreshing with a Glyph bar and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC under the hood. Here in this article, we'll get into the specs, features, and expected price of Nothing Phone (4a) in Nepal.
Nothing Phone (4a) Overview:
A Standout Design
First and foremost, the Phone (4a) stands with its see-through transparent design, similar to its predecessors, Phone (3a) and Phone (2a). But the major highlight is the new Glyph Bar, a strip of programmable LED lights placed near the camera module, which resembles the good ol' Glyph lights. It can signal notifications, incoming calls, charging progress, and even camera timers, providing useful alerts without constantly turning on the display. Build-wise, the frame is still plastic, while we do get an AI button on the left side for triggering those shortcut actions.

As for the display, it features a 1.5K res 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, up from the FHD+ resolution of the Phone (3a). It comes with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and 4500 nits of peak brightness for better sunlight readability. It is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i and supports HDR 10+ as well.
Performance
Under the hood, Nothing equips the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 for the Phone (4a). This 4nm fabbed 5G silicon consists of a prime core (Cortex A720), which operates at up to 2.7 GHz, three performance cores (Cortex A720, up to 2.4 GHz), and four power-saving units (Cortex A520, up to 1.8 GHz). Memory-wise, it is paired with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, a much-needed upgrade from its predecessor's UFS 2.2 storage. Likewise, the phone boots on NothingOS 4.1 out of the box with Android 16 on top.

Optics
Nothing fans can now rejoice with the addition of a 3.5X periscope lens on a base (a) series phone for the first time. This guy now houses a 50MP Samsung GN9 main camera, a 50MP Samsung JN5 3.5x periscope telephoto, and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide lens. So, we can definitely expect much better portrait shots and zoom photography than the modest 2x telephoto lens of the Phone (3a). Videography is still limited to 4K @ 30fps due to the chip's limitation. Last but not least, there's a 32MP camera up front for selfies and video calls.

Battery and Others
While almost every other brand has adopted the Si/Ca battery, Nothing has decided to stick with a 5080 mAh Lithium-ion battery paired with 50W wired fast charging support. But the Indian version comes with a bigger 5400mAh cell. Moreover, the connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port.
