It comes with a monstrous battery that puts all the big players to shame!

Back in October, we ran a piece where we said the upcoming OnePlus 15T could embarrass Galaxy S26 Ultra with its battery. And well, OnePlus has now made it official, and it's even better than the rumors suggested. The OnePlus 15T is now official in China, and it comes with a 7500mAh battery in a phone that weighs just 194 grams.
If you didn’t know, OnePlus has skipped a number entirely. The last T model was the OnePlus 13T, which was launched in early 2025, and the company jumped straight to 15T without a 14T in between. But this aligns with the flagship, the OnePlus 15, which was the company's headline phone for this cycle. The 15T follows the same pattern as the 13T did before it. Now, let's get into this article!
OnePlus 15T Overview
Design

The 15T has a 6.32-inch flat display with very thin 1.1mm bezels and weighs only 194 grams, which is quite lighter than the OnePlus 15. OnePlus calls this "Free Design" and specifically engineered a 50:50 weight distribution for one-handed balance. The frame provided is an aluminum alloy, the front is OPPO Crystal Shield Glass, and the back is fiberglass reinforced plastic. Now, the design indeed will feel somewhat less premium than glass, but it adds durability and keeps the weight down.
IP ratings go well beyond the 13T's IP65. The 15T now carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings simultaneously, meaning it handles everything from dust to high-pressure water jets. Similarly, the color options are Healing White Chocolate, Pure Cocoa, and Relaxing Matcha, and OnePlus has also included a color-matched protective case in the box.
Display

OnePlus has also now improved its display. The 6.32-inch AMOLED panel of the OnePlus 15T now runs at 165Hz with a 1.5K resolution of 2640x1216 at roughly 460 ppi. While 120Hz remains the industry standard for now, 165Hz is genuinely unusual, but it's nothing new, as its elder sibling, the OnePlus 15, also features it. Anyway, you are getting a solid display overall with excellent colors out of the box, while having a pretty bright display that hits 3600 nits and can get really dim as well. Similarly, you get support for 3840Hz PWM dimming, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and so forth. And by the way, OnePlus also claims the display supports native 165fps in specific gaming titles.
Performance
It is powered by the best Chip you can find in the market. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip here is paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, and also features a 5150mm² vapor chamber for cooling. Because of this cooling, it has also tremendously helped the device not leading to thermal throttling issues despite the CPU it features and the power it is capable of. There's also an in-house G2 gaming network chip for lower latency in online gaming, and now the company has also included a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which is an upgrade from the optical scanner on the 13T. And finally, for software, you get Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 skin on top.
Camera

Now coming to the cameras, the phone ships with a dual rear system under LUMO Imaging branding: a 50MP main sensor (Sony, f/1.8, OIS, 1/1.56 inch) and a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto (f/2.8, OIS, up to 7x lossless zoom) at 85mm equivalent with OIS. This is a more useful zoom range than a 3x setup for portraits and mid-range zoom shots, and LUMO's processing has been strong on skin tones and detail in other Oppo-family devices. But unfortunately, there's no ultrawide, and this omission frustrated many once again. The selfie camera at 16MP is also a step down from the OnePlus 15's 32MP front camera. But at least the video goes up to 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps with Dolby Vision.

Battery and Charging

One impressive thing about the phone is its 7500 mAh silicon-carbon Glacier battery, and especially the fact that OnePlus has been able to include it in such a compact size. The phone could easily last well over a day or two, and as a matter of fact, it probably doesn't have a comparable equivalent in compact flagship phones right now.
Flagship devices like the Galaxy S26 Ultra, or the iPhone 17 Pro Max, many of them still ship with 5000mAh in a significantly larger and heavier chassis. And the reason they give is mostly that Si-Ca batteries have not been able to win them over, or as Samsung says it “hasn't yet passed our very rigorous validation standard.” Anyway, the Chinese companies have also demonstrated that these batteries do work and aren’t just spec padding. On the 15T, OnePlus claims 10.3 hours of MOBA gameplay or 40.5 hours of video streaming on a single charge.
Moving one, the battery is charged with 100W wired, 50W wireless, and the phone supports bypass charging for gaming. Similarly, reverse wired charging is also supported.
