OnePlus has finally unveiled the OnePlus Ace 6 in China alongside the OnePlus 15. The Ace 6 features practically everything you can expect from a flagship phone at a much cheaper price and is expected to launch globally as the OnePlus 15R. Now, let’s jump in this article, where I will discuss everything about the latest OnePlus Ace 6, including its expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.

OnePlus Ace 6 Overview

Display

Starting with the display, the OnePlus Ace 6 comes with a massive 6.83-inch flat AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution (2,800×1,272 pixels). Just like the flagship OnePlus 15, the refresh rate goes all the way up to 165Hz with intelligent variable switching between 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, and 165Hz. The display hits an incredible 5,000 nits peak brightness, which is significantly higher than most flagships out there. It also has Bright Eye Protection technology and comes with Little Gold Label certification for eye safety.

For gaming, the display packs some new features. There’s “Touch and Display Sync” for responsiveness, “Gyroscope Sensitive Tracking” for stable shooting in games, and Rain Touch (similar to Aqua touch Oneplus bought 2 years back) that lets you use the phone even with wet hands. The ultrasonic in-display 3D fingerprint sensor also works in wet conditions.

Design

Now coming to design, the Ace 6 shares the metal cube design language with the OnePlus 15. It measures 8.32 mm in thickness and weighs 213g. The frame is metal, and the rear uses a micro-gradient silk glass finish. OnePlus went all out with water resistance here; it’s rated for IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, which is as good as it gets. The phone comes in three colors: Competitive Black, Flash White, and Quicksilver.

Smartphone companies have been investing a lot in a separate physical button these year, and OnePlus is no different. Like Honor, they have also introduced a “Plus Key” on the side that you can customize for switching ring modes, launching the camera, toggling the flashlight, translating text, and opening the “AI Plus Mind space.”

Performance and Software

The OnePlus Ace 6 runs on last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm) with an Adreno 830 GPU. The chipset featured on devices like the OnePlus 13, S25 Ultra, and all the major flagships of 24/25. So even though its not the latest chipset, you are practically getting everything you need from a chipset. Similarly, the chip is paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or even 1TB UFS 4.1 storage.

You are also getting a dedicated gaming chip, which OnePlus calls the “Wind Chip Gaming Core.” OnePlus claims it ensures unlimited 165Hz full-frame gaming with optimized 1% low frame rates and multi-window full-frame rates. The phone apparently stays cool under pressure thanks to Glacier Cooling, and with signal strength up by 60%. OnePlus claims you can get 10 hours of full-frame gaming on this thing, and it supports features like Bypass Power and In-Game Recharge. Moreover, it runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

Camera System

Here, OnePlus has provided a dual-camera system with a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor (f/1.8) with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide (f/2.2) with 112° field of view. The front camera is a 16MP Sony IMX480 shooter (f/2.4). Similarly, video recording maxes out at 4K 60fps. There’s also flagship-grade gyroscope tracking for photography.

Battery and Charging

The battery is where this beast absolutely dominates and dwarfs even big players in the battery war. It packs a massive 7,800mAh battery, which OnePlus claims is the largest in its segment. That’s even bigger than the OnePlus 15’s already huge 7,300mAh battery.

Although there’s no wireless charging, it charges at 120W SuperVOOC, which, according to OnePlus, gets you to 50% in just 16 minutes. They also claim a 10-minute charge gives you around 3.3 hours of gameplay.
