This phone focuses on extreme gaming performance—especially with its add-on accessories.

OnePlus has expanded its “Ace” series of performance-centric phones with the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra. Which can also be paired with a gaming controller and a magnetically attachable cooling fan. It's powered by MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9500 SoC, and it also has a 165Hz display like the flagship OnePlus 15 (review). I will talk about the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra expected price in Nepal, specifications, and availability.
OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra Overview
A robust build
Starting with the design, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra has flat edges and rounded corners to provide a better grip in your gaming sessions. Both in horizontal and vertical orientations.
It has a squarish camera island with a matte finish, and the phone is IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K-rated for protection against dust and water damage too. Its “Ace Awakening” color option has a special laser engraving at the back, while its “Metal Storm” finish looks similar to the “Sand Storm” variant of the OnePlus 15.
165Hz refresh rate!
As for the display, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra brings a 6.78-inch flat OLED panel with 1.5K (1272 x 2772 pixels) resolution. It has 3,600 nits of peak brightness at 25% APL, meaning 25% of the total screen space can get as bright as 3,600 nits to deliver a more immersive viewing experience for HDR content. While it should also deliver impressive brightness levels when you're outdoors, thanks to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. Moreover, it has 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, which lets you see better graphics in high-end gaming.

The main highlight of this phone for gaming is its 165Hz refresh rate paired with a 4,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and a 480Hz ten-finger touch sampling rate. And on top of that, they claim this refresh rate can automatically switch between 60Hz and 165Hz as needed. Further, you can also customize the app refresh rate, which could allow you to run the specific game at the highest compatible setting.
Beyond these gaming specifications, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra offers high-frequency 3,840Hz PWM and DC dimming to protect your eyes during long gaming sessions.
Flagship performance
As I mentioned earlier, OnePlus went with a flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip here. As compared to Snapdragon 8 Elite and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 on the OnePlus Ace 6 and Ace 6T, respectively. It also has an internal "Glacier Cooling System" to offer more stable performance during intense gaming. And since Dimensity 9500 is among the most powerful mobile chips right now, we can expect very good gaming performance in even the most resource-hungry titles like Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves.

OnePlus has already tested the Delta Force and Peacekeeper Elite games in high-frame-rate settings. Their test results show that these two games maintained averages of 164.7 fps and 164.9 fps during straight 3 hours of play, respectively. For 1% low frames, Peackeeper Elite scores 152.7 fps on the high frame settings. Similarly, the Ace 6 Ultra can also play other games like Valorant Mobile, CrossFire, Arena Breakout, and COD Mobile at a smooth 165 fps.
What is the “OnePlus Gun God Game Controller”?
To further level up your gaming experience, OnePlus has launched a custom controller called the “Gun God Game Controller”. It has been designed especially for shooter games, and it provides an additional grip to the phone, alongside four physical trigger buttons. These buttons have a fast 1.8ms response time, which makes them reliable for fast-paced games. Interestingly, it also has an additional e-sport antenna to improve the signal during gaming.

This controller is compatible with other OnePlus phones as well, such as the OnePlus 15R and Turbo 6. Likewise, this accessory weighs around 150 grams and can be used on its own, too. But when your phone gets hot during gameplay and starts dropping frames, you can attach the magnetic cooler to the back using the simple pull-and-attach mechanism.
Smooth software and a massive battery
Memory-wise, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra can be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on ColorOS 16 on top of Android 16—and not OxygenOS since this is a China-only product. Which is exactly why OnePlus doesn't mention anything about software commitments for this phone either.

Another highlight of this phone is its 8,600mAh battery, backed by a 5-year battery life warranty from OnePlus. It supports 120W SuperVOOC Flash Charging and UFCS fusion fast charging. OnePlus claims you can play 165 fps games for straight 7.4 hours or use it for navigation for 13.6 hours straight. A quick 10 minutes of topup should get you 6 hours of usage, while the phone only takes 49 minutes for a complete refill.
What about the camera?
With all this focus on performance, it was almost obvious that the Ace 6 Ultra doesn't impress in the camera department. OnePlus has shipped a dual camera setup at the back, which consists of a 50MP f/1.8 primary camera with OIS and an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide shooter. There's a 16MP f/2.4 sensor for selfies and video calls. For wireless connectivity, this phone supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
