Oppo Enco X announced: A flagship TWS with ANC, 94ms latency and more

Oppo has yet again extended its lineup of Enco wireless earphones. This time with a flagship earphone – Enco X. The new TWS is now positioned above the Enco Free. Check out the specifications, features, expected price, and availability of Oppo Enco X in Nepal.

Oppo Enco X Overview

Design

Like most of the Android earbuds these days, the Oppo Enco X also takes inspiration from Apple’s AirPods lineup. It is an in-ear earphone with silicone ear tips. The stem of the Oppo Enco X is rather short. It also gets bulky as we get to its end. Enco X is available in three different color options – Black, White, and Green. Talking about the charging case, it measures 66.3 x 49 x 21.7mm and weighs around 52.5 grams. It has an LED indicator on the front. The elliptical shape of the case is quite evident when the lid is closed. Together with the two earbuds, the whole setup weighs around 52.5 grams.

Internals

For the Enco X, Oppo has adopted a new arrangement of internal components, which the company is addressing as a coaxial dual-unit design. The superconducting magnetic plane diaphragm unit is placed on the front while the tri-layer composite ring unit is on the rear side. Similarly, to improve noise reduction, Oppo has included a dual-core chip along with a dual-feed microphone. Another highlight of Enco X is the support for Bluetooth 5.2. The touch controls are placed on the stem itself. It supports a single-tap, double-tap, and sliding gestures. Android users can easily customize using the companion app.

Features

To improve the sound quality of the Enco X, Oppo has collaborated with Dynaudio. Oppo adds that the Enco X was made after 30 materials exploration, 120 wheel structural modifications, 152 device selections in Dynaudio Research Development Center. To bring Hi-Fi sound to the new earbuds, the company has also developed a new DBEE 3.0 sound system. Basically, it is the successor to DBEE Dynamic Sound that Oppo developed back in 2007. Users can now use LHDC audio codes along with more basic SBC and AAC. However, this feature is limited to select Oppo devices running ColorOS 7.1 and ColorOS 11. As stated earlier, its noise reduction technology uses two feed microphones. A third microphone helps you to connect to calls. There is also a low-latency mode which reduced the latency of a full-link transmission to just 94ms. It is available on both Android and iOS devices.

The 44mAh battery on each earbud is rated for 4 hours and 5.5 hours with strong noise reduction mode and noise reduction mode turned on, respectively. Likewise, Enco X's 553mAh battery on the charging case extends it up to 20 hours and 25 hours, respectively. The earbuds take around 80 minutes to charge from 0 to 100%. On the other hand, it takes 110 minutes to charge the charging case using the Type-C port. The charging case also supports Qi wireless charging protocol. The Enco X also has an IP54 rating against dust and dust and water.

Oppo Enco X is now available in China with a price tag of 999 Yuan. Since many Oppo Enco products are officially available in Nepal, the Enco X might arrive here pretty soon too. We expect the price of Oppo Enco X in Nepal to be around NPR 18,500.
