Oppo Reno 11 Pro launched with SD 8+Gen 1 SoC and 50MP OIS camera

Alongside the vanilla Reno 11, Oppo has finally taken the curtains off from the Reno 11 Pro as well. Packing a more powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, the Pro sibling retains similar specs to the Reno 11. SLR Level Portraits

The Oppo Reno 11 Pro also sports a triple camera setup as its vanilla sibling. The main camera is an even better Sony IMX890 sensor with OIS and f/1.8 aperture. You get the same 32MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and 20x digital zoom. Lastly, there is an 8MP ultra-wide unit with 112 degrees of FoV. Here as well, Oppo claims SLR-level portrait photography with the setup. For selfies, there is a 32MP snapper embedded in the punch hole cutout.

Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

Oppo has decided to go for an older yet still, powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 for the Reno 11 Pro. This TSMC’s 4nm fabbed chipset features one Cortex-X2 core at 3.2GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores at 2.7GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores at 2.0GHz. The graphics part is handled by Adreno 730 GPU. Oppo has paired the chip with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. Booting the smartphone is ColorOS 14 based on Android 14.

Design and Display

Speaking of the design, the Reno 11 Pro shares identicalities to the Reno 11. You’re looking at the same curved frame design with a slim profile and a glass black. As for the color options, the Reno 11 Pro arrives in three shades: Obsidian Black, Turquoise Green, and Moonstone White. The camera module gets a slightly fancy treatment here with 708 stud rings, a jewelry-like pattern on the Moonstone White version.

On the front side, you’re greeted with a 6.74-inch curved AMOLED panel. This 1.5K res screen boasts 450PPI, 10-bit color depth, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 1600nits of peak brightness, and 2160Hz PWM dimming.

Battery and the Rest

Moving on, the smartphone gets its juice from a 4,700mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. As for the connectivity options, you get 5G, WiFi 6, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and a USB-C port. Lastly, there is an indisplay fingerprint scanner for biometrics security.
