Starting with the display, the 13 Pro Max—like its predecessor—has a 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display. However, unlike the 12 Pro Max, it features a higher 120Hz refresh rate. This contributes to smoother animations and scrolling. You also get scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass protection on the front and rear. Also, there is an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is built in a glass sandwich design, with stainless steel frames. It is available in the following colors: Graphite, Gold, silver, and Sierra Blue.
Performance
The handset is powered by the new Apple A15 Bionic silicon, which has a 6-core CPU and a 5-core GPU. Furthermore, there is a 16-core Neural Engine that is said to execute 15.8 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for faster machine learning. Battery-wise, you get a 4352mAh battery that charges through a USB 2.0 Lighting Port with 20W power.

In terms of the camera, it sports a triple camera arrangement, each with a 12MP sensor. The main sensor has larger pixels (1.9 µm) size that allows it to capture more light. The 12MP ultra-wide lens has a field of view of 120 degrees while it can also take macro images from 2cm away. iPhone 13 Pro Max also boasts a larger 77mm telephoto lens that provides 3x optical zoom.
To take selfies, it has a 12MP TrueDepth camera inside a redesigned notch that’s 20% smaller than its predecessor.
As far as connectivity is concerned, it supports the latest WiFi 6 (802.11ax), 5G, Bluetooth 5.0, e-SIM (dual), GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and BeiDou. And, not to forget, the company doesn’t ship a compatible charger inside the box. So, you will need to purchase it separately.
