Design, Display
OnePlus Nord CE 2 is the successor to last year’s Nord CE. Yet, it differs heavily from its predecessor in terms of design. It has a rectangular camera layout on the rear that flows seamlessly with the back panel—contrary to the elongated camera layout of its predecessor. The phone is fairly slim at 7.8mm and weighs 173 grams. However, it misses out on a classic OnePlus alert slider.
The smartphone boasts a 6.43-inch AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+ certification, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is available in two color options—Bahamas Blue and Gray Mirror.
Performance
When it comes to performance, it comes with Dimensity 900 5G chipset. It’s a 6nm processor that features brings two Cortex-A78 (@2.4GHz) and six Cortex-A55 (@2GHz) CPU cores alongside Arm’s Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. Likewise, the memory option includes up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
While Nepal gets only 8/128GB variant, along with it India also has a 6/128GB models.
On the software front, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 ships with last year’s Android 11 with OxygenOS 11.3 out of the box. It is slated to get two years of platform and three years of software updates.
Cameras, Others
Moving on, the Nord CE 2 hosts the same set of cameras as its predecessor. It has a triple camera setup that comprises a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. Then, there’s a 16MP selfie camera on the left-aligned punch-hole cutout at the front. Powering the phone is a 4,500mAh cell that supports 65W SuperVOOC charging.
