Design

Samsung has innovated a completely new style for their Galaxy Buds Live: a bean shape. It incorporates two wing tips for a better fit. Further, the TWS is an open-fit in design. The earpieces are not well protected from water and sweat as they have only an IPX2 water protection certification. Besides, The TWS is available in four mystic colors—Bronze, Black, White, and Red.

Sound Quality

For the audio, the company has gone with a 12-mm dynamic sound driver. The Galaxy Buds series shifted from 2 way speaker to 1 way. The “Live” version houses a bass duct for lower-frequency sounds and air vents to reduce the blockage of the ear for immense sound. Buds Live also offers SBC, AAC, and SSC codecs.

Finally, this time around, Samsung has utilized three mics present in each bud for ANC, including other features such as ENC and ambient sound. Moreover, Dolby Head Tracking technology is used here to achieve “360 Audio.” And with Dolby Atmos, you’ll hear that 3D sound with even more details. 

Battery

In terms of battery life, the “Galaxy Beans” can last up to 8 hours of non-stop music without any features enabled, and the case increases it to 29 hours of combined playback. Even with both the ANC and Bixby Voice Wake-up enabled, it can withhold up to 5.5 hours of continuous usage and 20 hours of collective playtime. Additionally, 5 minutes of charge increases its playtime by an hour.

Connectivity

Besides, you can connect Galaxy Buds Live with Android and iOS devices using Bluetooth 5.0, which it comes with, and control using its Wearable App. It can even connect with the Windows PC using Swift Pair without the need to scan for the Bluetooth device.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live accommodates six different sensors—an accelerometer, a hall sensor, a proximity sensor, a gyro, a touch sensor, a voice pickup unit, and a grip sensor. That’s a pretty long list of sensors. Aside from that, the earbuds’ case supports Qi-certified wireless charging. Plus, the USB-C port provided is another option for charging.
