Samsung Galaxy F23 5G Overview:
Design, Display
Samsung Galaxy F23 5G sports a 6.6-inch 120Hz display with noticeable bezels and a waterdrop notch on top. The TFT LCD panel is certinaly a downgrade from the Super AMOLED panel on the F22. In our usage, we found the F23’s dispaly on par with other mainstream IPS LCD panels in terms of colors and viewing angles.
The body of the phone, including the frames, is all made of plastic with two color options: Forest Green and Aqua Blue. It measures 8.4mm and weighs around 198 grams.
Performance
Inside, Galaxy F23 5G is powered by Snapdragon 750G, which brings some healthy upgrade both in terms of performance and camera capabilities. It handles F23’s 120Hz just fine and is well optimized for mainstream games like PUBG: Mobile and COD: Mobile.
The chip also has an integrated 5G modem with support for 12 different 5G bands, which by the way, is more than most companies are offering at this price range.
Samsung Galaxy F23 5G is available in 4/128 and 6/128GB variants. There is also a dedicated Micro SD card slot that you can use to expand the memory up to 1TB.
Cameras, Others
Galaxy F23 5G flaunts a triple camera setup at the back, consisting of a 50MP primary, 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro camera. You can record 4K 30 fps videos using the primary camera. There is no Optical Image Stabilizaton, but you can use Super Steady feature for FHD 30fps recording.
Samsung Galaxy F23 5G gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery. Although the phone supports 25W adaptive fast charging, you won’t find any charger in the box.
On the bright side, it boots on Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box. Samsung is even promising 2 major OS upgrades and 4 years of security patches on top.
