Razer has launched yet another gaming laptop, and I am already impressed by the device. The new Razer Blade 15 does everything well all while improving on its predecessor’s flaws. Gone are those hideous 14-inch displays as Razer has included a 15.6-inch screen with minimal bezels. Combined with the GTX 1070 and a 144Hz Full HD option, this device could turn out to be one of the most compelling gaming laptops available as of now.
Razer Blade 15 Specifications
|15.6″ Display||FHD 60Hz||FHD 144Hz||4K Touch|
|Graphics (Max-Q)||GTX 1060(6GB)||GTX 1070(8GB)|
|Processor||8th Gen Core i7 6 core processor|
The laptop also comes with an 80Wh battery, alongside new power management tools from Synapse. The similar looking Chroma Keyboard also makes its way here from the previous models. The keys are individually backlit and you have the option to customize the colors, effects, and brightness from the Razer Synapse control panel. The touchpad of the Blade 15 uses Windows precision tracking, which should deliver a better experience.
If you take a look at the table above, you will probably notice a 144Hz 1080p and a 4k touch panel. Each individual laptop with these screen options will come out color calibrated from the factory itself. Also, all of the displays support a minimum of 99% of the sRGB color spectrum, while the 4k touchscreen option takes it to the next level with a 100% AdobeRGB color coverage.

The processor in question here is Intel’s 6 core i7-8750H, clocked at 2.2GHz which turbos up to 4.1GHz. Sadly, there are no i9 options, but you do get up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of internal storage. Again, all of this means nothing if the laptop is just going to heat up. The answer to the heat is what Razer calls, “Vapour Chamber Cooling System”, whatever that means. We will have to wait and see if it actually works or not.
Finally talking about the laptop’s aesthetics, you get a more pointy, boxy chassis, with sharper edges replacing the curves on the older models. It certainly looks a lot more 2018-ish, and appealing. Also, opening up the lid, the Razer Blade 15 certainly looks good with all the bezels cut down.

The Razer Blade 15 is already available in the US, and the pricing is also more or less justifiable. The then mouse makers have really proven themselves with yet another almost revolutionary game-changing product and the product is probably on the top of every laptop gamer’s wishlist.
