Realme launched a successor to the Realme 11x — which landed a spot on our list of best smartphones priced under NPR 30,000 as well. This time around the company has given the phone a major upgrade in the memory and storage department. Let’s discuss more about the Realme 12x including its expected price in Nepal, shall we?
Realme 12x Overview
Design and Display
Realme 12x keeps the majority of design aspects similar to its predecessor. Except for the shift of the camera island on the back to the centre, which puts it more in line with its other members of the Realme 12 series. Moreover, it boasts IP54 water and ingress protection while maintaining a slim profile of 7.89mm. This phone ships in two finishes: a plain black one, and the other comes with a green colour with feather feather-inspired patterns.
On the front, you are getting an LCD panel that measures 6.67 inches diagonally. The screen is capable of four levels of refresh rate adjustment peaking at 120Hz. In the meantime, it can brighten up from anywhere from a nit to 625 nits. Additionally, the Realme 12x also bags the TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.
Performance
Moving on to the performance side of things, the latest Realme offering does not offer any upgrade in terms of processor. Meaning, that it sticks with the same MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset. This silicon should provide you with a smooth enough experience for day-to-day usage and light gaming here and there.
Even though you don’t get an upgrade in the processor, you do get a major bump in memory as well as storage. While the Realme 11x only came in 8GB + 128GB trim, this time around you get 12GB RAM and a ROM of up to 512GB. In addition, you can virtually double the memory while also expanding the storage with a MicroSD card of up to 2TB on the Realme 12x. Furthermore, this phone boots on the Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14.

Camera and the rest
In terms of camera, the Realme 12x comes with a primary 50MP shooter — which is a dip from the 64MP you would get on a last-gen phone. However, we all know that the megapixels of the camera do not solely dictate the image quality.
Other than that, you get an unspecified auxiliary unit as well. This is probably the same decorative depth camera you got on the Realme 11x. Meanwhile, you once again get an 8MP camera on the front. Powering the smartphone is a 5,000 mAh cell that can juiced up with a 15W charger.

Realme 12x Price in Nepal and Availability
The phone will start shipping from April Fool’s Day in China with a starting price of CNY 1,499. It should eventually arrive here in Nepal. When it does so we expect the Realme 12x price in Nepal to start from NPR 32,999.
