Realme has officially introduced Realme 16T, expanding its mid-range smartphone lineup. The phone features a massive 8000mAh battery, a high refresh rate display, Dimensity 6300 SoC, and military-grade durability. In this article, I will discuss everything you need to know about Realme 16T, including its specs, features, availability, and expected price in Nepal.
Realme 16T Overview
Design and Display
Starting with the design, the Realme 16T has a slim and durable polycarbonate back that provides a comfortable grip while avoiding smudges and fingerprints. It measures 8.8 mm thick and weighs around 224g. For security, instead of an in-display sensor, the phone includes a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button on the right side.

It offers high durability as the device features military-grade certification, along with IP66/IP68/IP69 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. It is available in Aurora Green (featuring a light-shifting Gleaming Wings design), Starlight Red (exclusive for India), and Starlight Black color options.

Moving on to the display, the Realme 16T sports a 6.8-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels and a fast 144Hz refresh rate, delivering a smooth scrolling and gaming experience. Additionally, the screen reaches up to 1200 nits of high brightness mode (HBM), ensuring comfortable visibility even under direct sunlight.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Realme 16T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, which is manufactured on a 6nm node, to offer reliable daily performance and solid battery efficiency during casual gaming.

For thermal management, it includes a massive 5300mm² AirFlow VC vapor chamber cooling system, which is said to help maintain stable 60fps gaming without overheating. The phone is configured with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, which you can expand up to 2TB via microSD card.
On the software side, the Realme 16T runs on Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 out of the box. Realme has not officially confirmed a specific number of years for future OS or security updates, but they do promise six years of lag-free performance, ensuring the system remains smooth and optimized over long-term use.
Camera and Battery
For optics, the Realme 16T gets a basic dual-camera setup on the back, it has a 50MP Sony IMX852 primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, alongside a 2MP auxiliary lens. Since the camera is quite basic, the phone comes with AI-powered photography features.

Some of these include AI Portrait Glow for handling low-light conditions and the LumaColor IMAGE Engine for more natural-looking skin tones. Moreover, it has a small “selfie mirror” around the camera module, making it easier to take selfies using the rear camera, which is not an entirely new feature, but definitely something we do not see very often these days.
On the front, you get a 16MP selfie camera with a Sony IMX480 sensor and f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calls. For videos, the rear camera can record at up to 1080p 60fps, while the front camera is limited to 30fps.
In terms of battery, the Realme 16T packs a huge 8000mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to three days of normal usage on a single charge. The company also says the battery is designed to last up to seven years, which, if true, sounds quite promising. The phone supports 45W wired fast charging, 15W reverse wired charging, and bypass charging.
