Dell's Alienware 15 Debuts in India with Intel and AMD CPUs!

Alienware has introduced its new budget-friendly gaming laptop, the Alienware 15, in India. The device is available in both AMD (DA15265) and Intel (DA15260) variants. Despite being the brand's entry-level model, it comes with Alienware's signature AW30 design, a smooth 165Hz WUXGA display, and configurable NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30, 40, or even newer 50-series graphics. So yeah, in this article, I will discuss everything you need to know about the Alienware 15, including its design, specifications, features, and expected price in Nepal.

Alienware 15 Overview

Design and Build

Starting with the design, the Alienware 15 comes with modern AW30 design language with a sleek Nova Black polycarbonate chassis, a 180-degree hinge, and a distinctive V-rail front edge. The device also features Dell's Cryo-Tech cooling system with a Cryo-Chamber airflow design and copper thermal components to ensure efficient cooling during long gaming sessions. And despite its gaming-focused hardware, the device is pretty light at up to 2.25kg.

Moving to the display, the Alienware 15 features a 15.3-inch WUXGA (1920 × 1200) panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a smooth 165Hz refresh rate. It also offers up to 300 nits of brightness and AMD FreeSync support for smoother, tear-free gameplay. While the 62.5% sRGB colour coverage is not ideal for content creators, it's perfectly fine for gaming.

Performance

Under the hood, the Alienware 15 is available with both AMD and Intel processor options. The AMD variant comes with the Ryzen 5 220 (6-core, up to 4.9GHz) or the Ryzen 7 260 (8-core, up to 5.1GHz), while the Intel variant ships with Core 5 210H (8-core, up to 4.8GHz) or the Core 7 240H (10-core, up to 5.2GHz).

On the graphics side, we can configure it with the RTX 3050, RTX 4050, RTX 5050, or RTX 5060. The RTX 3050 and 4050 come with 6GB of VRAM with a TGP of 70W, whereas the RTX 5050 and 5060 ship with 8GB of VRAM and an 85W TGP.

For memory, the Alienware 15 offers 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of DDR5 5600MT/s RAM with two SO-DIMM slots, so upgrading later shouldn't be a problem. Storage maxes out at 1TB on a PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD.

Connectivity, Battery and Extras

Port selection is also pretty solid as we get an RJ45 LAN port, HDMI 2.1, two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, a USB-C port with 100W Power Delivery and DP 1.4a, an additional USB-C Gen1 port, and a headset jack. Wireless-wise, we get Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

For battery, we have a 54Wh 4-cell or a 70Wh 3-cell pack, both supporting ExpressCharge and ExpressCharge Boost. You also get a 720p HD webcam, dual-array microphones, and 2x 2W speakers for calls and casual media consumption.
