Realme C85 5G Launched in Nepal With 7,000mAh Battery and 144Hz Display!

Realme has added a new member to its C85 lineup in Nepal with the C85 5G. While it follows the same formula as the C85 4G, the new model brings a few changes that make it more than just a 5G refresh. Realme is also putting greater emphasis on durability and everyday usability, making the C85 5G an interesting addition to its budget smartphone lineup. Design and Display

Starting with the design, the Realme C85 5G follows the C85 series' feather-inspired design language with rounded corners. It measures 166.07 x 77.93 x 8.38mm and weighs 215 grams. The phone is available in Parrot Purple and Peacock Green.

Durability is one of the major highlights here. The phone comes with IP68, IP69, IP69K, and IP66 certifications, with Realme additionally advertising IP69 Pro water resistance. It can withstand rain, splashes, high-pressure water jets, and short-term submersion. It also carries MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance for protection against everyday drops and impacts.

On the front, the C85 5G has a 6.8-inch IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels. Its 144Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and animations feel smoother, while the display can reach up to 1,200 nits in HBM mode for better visibility outdoors. It also supports up to 180Hz touch sampling and wet-hand touch technology, so the screen remains responsive even when your fingers are wet.

The display also supports DC dimming, which reduces flickering at lower brightness levels, while Realme's AI display algorithm is designed to improve visibility in bright outdoor conditions.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the Realme C85 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6nm octa-core 5G chipset with CPU speeds of up to 2.4GHz. It is paired with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage, depending on the variant. The phone can also use up to 16GB of dynamic RAM to keep more apps running in the background.

For sustained performance, Realme has equipped the phone with a 5,300+ mm² vapor chamber cooling system. The company says this helps manage heat during multitasking and gaming.

The phone runs Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0 and includes several AI-based features. Its AI Outdoor Mode combines performance, network, brightness, and volume enhancements to make the phone more usable outdoors. The phone also includes Netpilot for improving connectivity in weak-signal areas, along with Circle to Search and Google Gemini.

Camera and Battery

For photography, the Realme C85 5G has a 50MP Sony main camera on the rear. It also supports Live Photos and several AI-powered editing tools, including Edit Genie, Eraser, Ultra Clarity, and Unblur. The front camera is an 8MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

The bigger highlight, however, is the 7,000mAh Titan battery. It supports 45W fast charging, with Realme claiming that a five-minute charge can provide up to 11.7 hours of music playback or 1.7 hours of video playback. The phone also supports reverse charging, allowing it to power other devices, and bypass charging, which can help reduce battery heat during gaming.

Realme claims up to 145 hours of music playback, 50 hours of calls, and 22 hours of online video playback from the battery under its laboratory testing. It also advertises a theoretical six-year battery-health lifespan, with the capacity expected to remain above 80% after six years under its stated testing conditions.
