Redmi K70E launched with Dimensity 8300 Ultra and 5,500mAh battery

The Redmi K70 Series is finally official in China with Redmi K70 Pro, Redmi K70, and Redmi K70E, filling the trio. The latter one is the cheapest in the lineup and comes with a Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC and a 5,500mAh battery. Design and Display

Starting with the design, the K70E boasts an identical look to the vanilla K70 and K70 Pro siblings. You get a flat frame with slightly curved edges here. Redmi ships this guy in three color options: Ink Feather, Clear Snow, and Shadow Green. As for the display, the smartphone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, 1920Hz PWM dimming, 120Hz refresh rate, 12 bit colors, Dolby Vision and 1800nits of peak brightness.

This is not your usual OLED screen though. Xiaomi has provided eye protection measures through blue light filters and circadian rhythm eye protection mode. On top of that, it bags an S++ rating for visual health friendliness.

Performance

Under the hood, the Redmi K70E is powered by the Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC. This TSMC 4nm-based chipset features 1x Cortex-A715 core at 3.35GHz, 3x Cortex-A715 cores at 3.2GHz, and four Cortex-A510 clocking at 2.2GHz. Handling the graphics here is Mali-G615 MP6. Redmi has paired this chip with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. You get a 5000mm2 stainless steel Vapor Chamber cooling to keep the thermals in check.

Plus, the AI game gets strong here with AI portraits, AI input, Xiao Ai large models, Ai-IoT automation, and so on. Software-wise, it boots on the newly announced HyperOS built on top of Android 14.

Camera

In terms of optics, you get a triple-camera setup. It is headlined by a 64MP OmniVision OV64B primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie snapper embedded in the hole punch cutout.

Fueling the K70E is a 5500mAH battery with 90W fast charging support. Xiaomi claims over 90% battery health even after 1000 cycles with the Sea Star Algorithm. Talking of the connectivity options, you get 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Furthermore, there is an indisplay fingerprint scanner for biometrics security, an X-axis linear motor, and a dual stereo speaker setup.
