Xiaomi has sneakily refreshed the Note 10 Pro Max as the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G moniker with identical specs in the Indonesian and some European markets. Performance

Xiaomi has packed the same old Snapdragon 732G chipset on the Note 12 Pro 4G model, reminiscing the Note 10 Pro Max. The 4G silicon from 2020 features two Kryo 470 Gold cores (Cortex-A76) at 2300MHz and 6 Kryo 470 Silver cores (Cortex-A55) at 1800MHz.

Based on an 8nm process, it is accompanied by Adreno 618 GPU for graphics. The chipset is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable internal storage. As for the software, the phone boots on MIUI 13.

Design and Display

The Note 12 Pro 4G follows the flat frame boxy design language as its Note 12 Series siblings. To remind you, the Note 10 Pro came with curved frames. Besides that, the camera module also has a new look this time around. Nonetheless, you still get a side-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the power key.

Moving to the display, the phone sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution. The punch-hole screen retains the same 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate from the Note 10 Pro Max. What's new here is the addition of Dolby Vision support.

Camera

For the optics, you get a quad-camera setup on the back headlined by a 108MP main series. Joining it is an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP depth, and 5MP macro unit. This setup is capable of recording 4K videos. Upfront, you get a 16MP selfie snapper.
