Redmi Note 13 5G launched with Dimensity 6080 and 12GB of RAM

Xiaomi just announced the Redmi Note 13 alongside the Note 13 Pro series in China. In this article, let's take a dive into the design, features, specs, and expected price in Nepal of the Redmi Note 13 5G smartphone.

Design and Display

Compared to its predecessor, Redmi Note 13 sports a boxier, more modern-looking design. It is also sleeker at 7.6mm compared to the 8mm thick Redmi Note 12 5G. The bezels are noticeably thinner than last gen's Note 12. But the display itself is the same on paper. The Note 13 sports a large 6.67-inch FHD+ (1080x2400) Super AMOLED screen. It can toggle between 60/90/120Hz and hit 1000 nits of peak brightness. Moreover, the panel can display 10-bit colors and has 1920Hz PWM dimming.

Chipset

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 13 5G is running MediaTek's Dimenstiy 6080 midrange processor. This 6nm silicon has two Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and six Cortex A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. Complementing the CPU cores is the Mali-G57 MC2 integrated graphics. The base variant ships with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. But you can configure it with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM. Moreover, this phone boots on Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top.

Cameras

Moving on to the cameras, we see an upgrade from a 48MP main shooter on the Note 12 5G to a 100MP one on the newer 13. Unfortunately, there's no ultrawide camera this time around and the only other lens on the back is a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, you'll find a 16MP selfie cam housed in the hole-punch.

Battery and Extras

Fueling the Redmi Note 13 5G is the same old 5000 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. The charging speed also stays the same at 33W.
