Xiaomi launched the Redmi Watch 3 at the Redmi 2023 Conference event back in December last year. The smartwatch has now made its way to the global market. Successor to the Watch 2, the new wearable brings a larger display and improved specifications. Here we will take you through the specs, features, availability, and expected price of the Redmi Watch 3 in Nepal.

The Watch 3 features a 1.75-inch AMOLED screen with a pixel density of 341PPI. This is 14.8% larger and 1.3 times denser than its predecessor. The display is capable of reaching a brightness of 600 nits, making it plenty suitable for outdoor use. As usual, it comes with a range of watch faces to choose from, and the screen refreshes at 60Hz. In terms of design, the Watch 3 has a flat-screen and a single button on the right side for navigation. At a weight of just 37 grams, it isn’t heavy either. And Xiaomi has offered a 5ATM water resistance rating, making it suitable to be used in humid conditions or even while swimming.

Health Tracking and Features

The Watch 3 inherits things like 24 x7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2 evaluation, and sleep tracking from its predecessor. There is support for over 121 fitness modes, including 6 professional workout types. Additionally, the watch includes 10 predefined running courses with varying intensity levels. Individuals can select a course that aligns with their current fitness level and athletic background. And as they engage in the chosen course, they will receive verbal instruction and guidance from trained coaches. To enable this, Xiaomi has added a speaker right in the watch. There's also microphone support, which allows users to make and take calls right from the Redmi Watch 3. Like its predecessor, it has a built-in GPS for tracking routes.

Moreover, the company claims the Watch 3 is more power efficient than its predecessor. About its actual battery capacity, it packs a 289mAh cell which is rated to provide up to 12 days of battery life. The connectivity option on the Redmi Watch 3 includes Bluetooth 5.2. And it is compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

The Watch 3 is available in Black and Ivory colors and is priced at EUR 119. However, the wearable should cost less in the south-Asian market since European price are generally higher. We expect the price of the Redmi Watch 3 to be NPR 15,000, if and when it launches in Nepal.
