Samsung has added a 5G variant to its A0 lineup with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A06 5G. Despite being a budget-friendly phone, it packs some impressive features like 4 generations of OS upgrades and a 90Hz refresh rate. When it comes to the display, the A06 5G offers a 6.7-inch PLS LCD with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, it boasts a peak brightness of 800 nits. One of the key improvements here is the 90Hz refresh rate, which ensures smoother scrolling and better responsiveness compared to its predecessor. For durability, the A06 5G has an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone is available in Black, Gray, and Light Green colors.
The device comes in multiple RAM and storage configurations: 4GB/64GB, 4GB/128GB, and 6GB/128 GB. Additionally, the storage is expandable via microSD, so you can add more space as needed. On the software side, the A06 5G runs Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI Core. The company has committed on providing two years of OS updates and four years of security patches as well. Moreover, the device is powered by a 5000mAh battery, capable of supporting 25W wired fast charging.
For connectivity, the Galaxy A06 5G supports USB-C (v2.0) and Bluetooth 5.3. It also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for audio and supports Wi-Fi 5 (AC).
